ssmoker
Hello All, I couldn't find after searching & there are no FAQ topics on this so if this has been asked before my apologies. Can you run Launchbox on a Rasberry Pi 2 or 3 within Kodi? Thanks
SentaiBrad
It has been covered a lot in the past, but LaunchBox and BigBox are only available on Windows. There are plans for future releases to other platforms like Linux and Mac, but those are in the future.

SentaiBrad
Of course. Our team is just Jason and myself, and he's the only coder so stuff like this just takes a while. We really want to be on those platforms it will just take time.
CADScott
The Raspberry Pi, even the 3, really does not have enough power to emulate smoothly anything beyond N64 / PSX era. I have done a lot of experimenting with the Pi and have always gone back to using a PC for emulation due to frustrations with inconsistent performance. Even a low end PC will run rings around an embedded platform for emulation, and a PC also gives you more choices of individual emulator and controller. Nothing better than playing the GameCube version of Mario Kart (Double Dash) with my kids, and having it in hi-def and run a solid 60fps!
SentaiBrad
Oh yea certainly, but the question was more about our multi-platformness, of which we have none. xD
NJDave71
So I am looking at the Raspberry Pi 3 and Windows IoT Core. 1. Will launchbox and big box work? 2. will Visual Pinball and Steam work? Edited March 29, 2017 by NJDave71

neil9000
Just now, NJDave71 said: too bad would be nice to make this portable. Unfortunately although it has windows in the name, its not really windows as such. Its a hugely stripped down version and I believe is command line only. neil9000
Also the raspberry pi is a ARM chip, so even if it did run windows, none of the programs would be compatible with the CPU.
neil9000
Also you could install moonlight on the raspberry pi if you have a NVidia gpu in your pc and stream bigbox and steam to the raspberry pi.
