orac31
I am not very good at explaining things but thought I would give it a go. I have found the only problem at the moment for Amiga and whd load games you cant save at the time being but going to try and see if I can work it out even try and work out configs for adf imgs so you can save games. So this is for people that want a simple play setup without saving
Jason Carr
Thank you orac! Can you post this in the new videos section? There's a Videos link at the top of the forums.
Locutus74
Thanks for this Orac. I am also working on adf files with individual configs, to be able to save. Tested a couple of games, now just need to sort / find the best versions of each game. Its a very long process.
Lordmonkus
Thank you for this. I have avoided the Amiga because I knew just how much of a pain in the ass setting it up was. This made it so easy. Not sure if you made this clear in the video and I just missed it or what but for Launchbox people should definitely download the dev build and not the stable. With the stable build when you try and load through the launcher in Launchbox you just bring up the launcher and the game doesn't autostart. The dev builds launcher just boots straight into the game. Still and awesome video though, thanks again.

Lordmonkus
Since I don't know a whole lot about the Amiga in terms of the rom releases were there more releases in the adf vs whd formats ? Doing a quick search for "amiga whd downloads" immediately gives what to me looks like a great site for getting what seems like everything anyone could ever want. Are there more adf files than that ? Also right now is the trade off between adf vs whd the ability to save state w/ adf vs the ability to load multi disk games w/ whd ? Like I said I am a total noob when it comes to Amiga stuff. While I knew of the Amiga as a kid growing up we just didn't see many of them, I think I saw one or 2 in my school way back when. I did own an Atari ST back in the late 80s though, lol. orac31
Hi adf are floppy disk images so are slower then whd but you can use save states and there is a lot more but most games are on whd whd load was made to install games to a real amiga hard drive(I have a ssd in my real amiga with all the games on it) but you can use it on emulators so games run a lot faster and no disk swapping. Lordmonkus
Cool. Thanks to your video I finally got a start into the Amiga side of things. I downloaded a whole pile of WHDs since they package the whole game into one easy to use file. Mounting multi disk games is not possible directly through Launchbox right now without a lot of extra effort. I'm not a big user of save states anyways so the WHD format works just fine for me.
