angelobodetti
Hi All, For some reason I cannot get RetroArch to launch Sega SG-1000 games using the Genesis Plus GX core. Is anyone else using this core? Am I missing something? I am using unzipped .bin files for the roms. Also, what are people using for ST-V? I see RetroArch can do it but I am unsure which core and if additional settings are needed. As always thank you!
DOS76
Do you mean it won't launch through RA or LB if LB is the issue did you go into the RA manage emulator setting and make a SG-1000 line in the associated platform tab if not you aren't passing the core along to RA when you try to load the game and it isn't working. If your issue is with RA I do have it working using the GPgx core with zipped files but they should work unzipped also
angelobodetti
I haven't even imported to LB yet since I cannot get it to work directly. Right now I am only working in RA and when i load a game its just a black screen and no actual game is shown or heard. Maybe i will zip a few roms and see what happens. angelobodetti
Got it to work, must've been a bad romset because i grabbed a new one and no issues. Thank you. What about ST-V? What are you using for that? Edited January 5, 2017 by angelobodetti
DOS76
I haven't done anything with the Sega ST-V stuff if it works in MAME its probably in my Arcade platform but I haven't seperated that one out.
Lordmonkus
ST-V emulation in its current state is bad. Using Radiant Silvergun as an example Mame still has problems with it running too slow. Your best bet for those games is to play the Saturn versions since they are nearly identical.
