Bryan
I'm having two issues with Launch Box / Big Box. 1. I'm having difficulties getting my Arcade ROMS to work. I'm using MAME. When I click on one, the program starts to work, it says "initializing" but then it goes back to the main screen. I've changed emulators. I've removed and reloaded all of the ROMS. I now have more grey hair. 2. I purchased the X-Arcade control unit. It will not work at all on Launch Box / Big Box. I've reprogramed the unit. I used "notes" in Windows to ensure that it was working. I'm at a loss. And, yes, it has caused more grey hair. On a positive note, because I've looked at almost all Front Ends, Big Box is incredible and the best one. I just can't get it to work. Thanks for any assistance. DOS76
1 when you imported your ROMs did you a move them into LB or b leave them where they were originally located? If you imported them into LB then most likely you have to go into MAME and edit the mame.ini file and add the directory path where you have the games. MAME by default is looking for them inside of a folder named ROMs inside of of the MAME root directory 2 Others have XArcade sticks working in LB BB so hopefully someone with real life experience with one can help you out. DOS76
True you can set directories in the MAME built in UI (Not to be confused with MAMEUI) As a caveat if you use the UI and your resources are on a network computer you have to have added the drive as a network drive previously as the UI doesn't have the ability to go to another PC. ckp
For your x-arcade, all you have to do is go into the keyboard settings in options and set the navigation for each item you want using your x-arcade. Edit: oh, and you are probably going to get a lot more grey hair as you get into using various emulators, haha! LB/BB is the super easy part. Emulators and controllers are where grey hair comes . You may want to check the forum video tutorials when you start setting up your emulators and platforms. They will visually guide you through things. And of course, people will help you on this forum when needed. Edited June 15, 2017 by ckp
