SwitchKat
Hi all. I've started using LB for a new Windows arcade I want to build and I'm attempting to cleanup a pretty large rom collection. In my RPi3 arcade, there are thousands of games and to be honest, it's a mess. I'm finding that importing one directory at a time into LB and then cleaning out the junk is working well, long process, but working well. The issue is that I have roms for Arcade, CPS1, CPS2, CPS3, FBA, MAME, and so on. There are duplicates in there and there are roms that are in the wrong folder (as I've been finding out). As I clean up a folder, I'd like to have it as a playlist. Sort of a "Cleaned_Arcade" or "MAME_To_Be_Cleaned" type of setup. I've been creating different playlists for different roms (i.e. Arcade, To_Be_Deleted, Trackball, Light_Gun_Needed, etc.). One thing I've been trying to figure out is whether I can add the rom folder path into the List View (to allow for sorting) or even create a playlist based on the folder path from the import. This would make it easier to get to a stopping point, to be able to easily pick up where I left off and I can easily just move a rom into another playlist based on what I want to do with it. Just looking to make this a little easier. Suggestions are much appreciated.
Lordmonkus
I am not sure if this will aid you at all but just having a quick look at the auto-populate playlist there is an option in there to build a playlist based off rom path.
SwitchKat
@lordmonkus Thanks, didn't even see that option in there. The only problem I have with it is the arcade-type games that are all emulated under Retroarch all get copied into the same folder. I suppose what I can do for now is make a copy of the master mess and import the copy with the option to play them from their current location. Then use the auto-playlist option to create using the rom folder path, clean everything up, remove it all, and then re-import from the cleaned folders, and set it to copy over to the LB computer. That will work for now. Not pretty, but it gets those duplicates and nonsense roms out of there.
vgbox
I want to make a playlist based on rom path so i entered: Platform-Is Equal to-Arcade Application/Rom path-Contains-...\Roms\Mame 2003 plus (the path to the folder containing the mame zips). The rom folder is located outside of LB folder. Playlist shows no games. What cound be the reason? Edited May 27, 2020 by vgbox

So just use for example Contains=Mame 2003 plus.
