It must differ in some way to Vsync as there is a Wait for vertical sync option right underneath it. Maybe two methods of achieving the same result? I'm probably not replacing it for a good long time as I tend to use things till the break rather than just upgrade to better while they are fine, with some exceptions like my 6 year old PC that would just refuse to die.
