rrichter
I understand this system may not work properly but I’m trying to get command lines either to run with geepee32 or mess or retroarch. Any help would be greatly appreciated Edited January 6, 2018 by rrichter
spycat
Hi @rrichter I never tried GeePee32 and also I don't think RA supports a core for the GP32. For MAME you will need the gp32.zip romset which should contain the five bios files gp32100k.bin gp32156k.bin gp32157e.bin gp32166m.bin gp32mfv2.bin The Default Command-Line Parameters are gp32 -memc Games should be in smc format and can be zipped or not.

rrichter
I understand where to find the “gp32“ in mess/mame, maybe u help me locate how to find the “-memc” extensions, so I’ll be able to do it for other systems. I understand that each system uses a different extension, I was just using those as examples. Ty much

LauweLoempia
I have been trying to emulate GP32 for a while now but I could not get it working. I've tried GeePee32 in a virtual Win XP and although it was working it was very buggy and no sound. I do have the GP32.zip with the bios files but I do not seem to get it to work in MAME (tried OpenEmu with Mame core & MAME OS X). Any help, tips, hints is greatly appreciated! mccorkled
Sorry for the semi-necro bump. I am trying to get this working using the MAME core in RA. I have the bios files and RA always freezes at the MAME initializing screen. I have several other obscure MAME systems setup and I followed the same procedures that got the other working.
