I upgraded from 7.x to 8.0 and accidentally cancelled out of a UAC prompt

This is a new one for me.

I was on Launchbox 7.x (lifetime purchase version) and changed the checkbox to allow for beta releases to get in on 8.0. It downloaded and installed, but right after the install, some sort of UAC prompt popped up and I cancelled it by accident. It was so fast that I didn't even see what the prompt was. I kept exiting launchbox and restarting it trying to get it to pop up again but it wouldn't, so it must have been something related to the install. Does anybody know what that could have possibly been? Launchbox 8.0 seems to be working fine but obviously something wasn't installed that should have been and I am trying to figure out what I am missing :)

Yeah cancelling that UAC won't impact anything in my experience. I've left in the middle of the install and when I've came back it had timed out without me accepting it and LB still restarted with no issues so it shouldn't be an issue. It updates Direct X stuff on ever update but if nothing has changed its a non issue

Yeah its likely you already have the necessary files on your system, but Launchbox cant take that for granted so will install those with the update. It would be a bit silly if it didn't install all the files it needs to run when updating itself.
