Everett1954
I am using MAME and BigBox to try and play RCA Studio II games , but all of them give me a scrambled display. Any ideas or anyone have this working?
dragon57
I don't have this system set up so I can't test this, but I have some old notes that say to hit F3 in MAME after you get the scrambled screen, the hit Q. mikeh002
Hello Everett, I have been struggling to get the RCA Studio II games working on my system...it just flashes a screen that says "initializing" that immediately disappears. I feel I'm close, I was wondering if you could tell me how you got as far as you did up til you made this post? I currently have the bios in the MAME roms folder...on the cmd line i have studio2 -cart...ive tried using the roms both as .st2 and as their zip files, neither work. I can't seem to even get as far as the scrambled screen you mentioned. if i could get a hint id be grateful....thank you for your time! Everett1954
Hi Mike, I use the Colpipes CP78 image on an external hard drive. I really just downloaded his image and used it. Then F3 and Q and RCA studio works. Is this a launch box image you are building yourself? Everett
mikeh002
yes sir, i've only set up a few systems so far, i'm very new to this. i hadn't heard of CP78, i looked it up...so, you're saying you use CP78 along with the mame emulator? do you use CP78 for other systems as well? it looks tricky to set up... thank you very much for your quick reply! Everett1954
Mike, I did not have to set up much of anything, this has launchbox, Big Box all the emulators and roms. go here: Go to the bottom of the list and you will find: CP78.All.Hits.No Shit.LB.Edition- CP78 , along with updates 1.01-1.07, these add fixes and additional systems to the original download. It is a much easier route than trying to configure all the emulators yourself. That's what I did anyway. Everett
