Is it possible to use some of my own media?

Hi all,

I've just bought a license for Launchbox and EmuMovies. I'm stuck at work at the moment so can't install it but I've watched a YouTube video showing someone set up a system. They basically pointed LB at their emulator, imported their roms and then told LB to go and get all the media from EmuMovies.

I've already got quite a lot of media (box fronts, video snaps etc) for some of my roms from my current Hyperspin set up.

Is it possible to import this manually into LB and will LB detect this and then only go and get the extra stuff it doesn't have (i.e. to save download time)??

Or am I better (for ease of use and consistency) to just let LB go and get everything via the net??

Thanks for any info you can give me on this.

:)

Yes, you can add your current media to the correct folders in launchbox, which would be Launchbox/Images/name of platform/name of image type or you can keep them where they are and point Launchbox at the folders, however this is tedious as you will have to do it per platform and per image type, so will take a while. The easiest way as i said is just to copy them to the appropriate folder.

Same for videos, just copy them to Launchbox/Videos/name of platform.

When you initiate a metadata and images update in Launchbox you will get three options of how to update that info, the middle option there is "download media but dont overight existing metadata and media" that will just grab the missing stuff and leave everything else as is.
