bryantjs6
I cannot get Launchbox to find this Windows game in the database: https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/106365 I search by name, but the results are for games with the same name on different platforms: Thoughts? I would update the XML manually, but I'm not sure how to find the ID of that game in the database.
DOS76
Probably just means the game isn't in the database if you want to add the game yourself go to the top of the forum and click on the Games DB in the site header register for an account and then you can start submitting things. Its in the database a metadata update just needs to be pushed which has just been pushed live, try searching again @bryantjs6. https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/dbid/156365 https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/106365
neil9000
Launchbox only checks for a metadata update every 24 hours, and the actual database metadata file is also only updated every 24 hours also.
bryantjs6
So maybe it wasn't finding it because it had just been added and approved? I was thinking that might be the case. The scraper is still not finding it for me, but I haven't received the metadata update yet. I suspect it will work for me later today or tomorrow. Thank you. You can force a metadata update by editing the settings.xml in Launchbox/Data, make a copy first for backup just in case.Open the settings .xml and find the line "Last Metadata Update" and edit the day back a day, so if it says 2018-10-18 which is today change the 18 to 17 and save the file. Now when you search for metadata it will prompt to update the metadata file.
