rommaster
Hi Guys, I really love the attract mode from ES\RPi. A full screen video of the game is displayed with the game name in the bottom corner, if you press a button the game being displayed launches. This feels like more realistic as if you were walking around an arcade the machines would be displaying full screen graphics of the game to lure you in. I can't find any setting in BigBox to copy this style, so I'm thinking it might be part of each theme? Can anyone point me in the direction of the location I'd find the code for attract mode so I can have a crack at adding this? Cheers. dragon57
Have you tried the built in option?

It is something Jason built into BigBox. Per @dragon57 post you can use the built in attract mode with any theme. It will randomly jump in and out of platforms/categories showing different games. You cannot launch directly into a game shown unfortunately.
neil9000
Also to add to this, how the attract mode looks will depend on the theme used. So if you were to use a theme that had a fading wheel and a full screen video snap after the fade, then that would look somewhat like what you are asking for.
