App: LaunchBox Version: 10.6 Type: System.IO.IOException Site: Void WinIOError(Int32, System.String) Source: mscorlib The "Source: mscorlib" is a microsoft .NET error. Make sure you are up to date with respect to .NET, and all Windows updates to be honest. Also as a little bit of forum etiquette, please dont bump your own posts after only a hour. If a user can help you with a issue they will try to.

What OS are you using, what version of said OS, and is it 32 or 64 bit based? 2 minutes ago, juju75 said: but why this error happen now. Have you been using Launchbox before and it stopped working after a update, or is this a new install? Please provide as much information as you can to help us, to help you. Thanks. juju75
I'm using Win10 in 64bits, installed in my external drive. I installed Launchbox 2 days ago and i begin to add several platforms and games. Also a lot of boxes, metadata downloaded. my cache LB have nearly 100 000 pics. Is it too big and crash ? i dont know. C-Beats
Could you try the following for me: 1. Make sure LaunchBox and Big Box are both closed. 2. Navigate to your LaunchBox folder 3. Find the folder called "Images" and enter it. 4. Look for the folder named "Cache-LB" 5. Select and delete that folder. 6. Open Launchbox. Then tell me if that resolves your issue. juju75
I try to delete this folder but windows dont let me its say's its maybe corrupt or impossible to read.
DOS76
Assuming that LB was closed like the instructions said if you can't delete that folder it could possible be an issue with you hard drive not being able to access the part of the drive where the data is try running chkdsk /r from an admin level command prompt and look for bad sectors but be warned that this is a long process depending on the drive size. C-Beats
Well then there's your problem. If you can't access those resources via Explorer, we definitely won't be able to in code. I'd run your typical tools to verify your hard drive is in proper working order and maybe run disk defrag. Sounds like either the OS is having issues (which a computer restart should correct) or your drive is going bad.

Move the settings.xml out of the Launchbox /Data folder and load Launchbox, it will load with default settings.

They are not the same thing, but if you have issues with both then something horrific is wrong somewhere. Go to your Launchbox/Updates folder and run the newest installer and install over the top of your current install.
