Crashes when importing games

Launchbox crashes whenever I try to import games. Have tried different game folders and each time the app crashes. Have tried installing and reinstalling. Using an LG G5.

It's the same for me....  I am using a galaxy 10e.  Has there been any additional info or help?

Hi guys, I'm currently working through these issues. The problem seems to be happening only on specific devices. @Mhunter314 Where in the process is it crashing?

Ok I tried it out on my OnePlus 3 on Android 9 and it seemed to import fine with the one rom I tried importing. The G5 is what I plan on mainly using for emulation and it crashes. That device is on Android 7.

This is happening on my first gen Shield TV 16GB model.

Figured it out, I needed to move Launchbox app from the SD Card, to Internal Storage and it imported fine.

Have moved app from internal to external and back. Same with games. Nothing works with my G5.

Hi guys, I just uploaded version 0.30 to the Play Store with some hopeful fixes for this. It will take Google a few hours to make the update live, but once it goes live, if you can test to see if it fixes the issue for you, I'd appreciate it.

Still crashes. Moved everything to internal and external. Can't import anything. Sent the crash log in the feedback email when it crashes.

Ugh. That's odd, because I did all my testing for this version specifically on an LG G5. I'll review your report.

It's a Sprint phone that's not activated and just running on wifi. No idea if that even matters. Bought it strictly for emulation. Will factory reset and see if that helps.

Thanks @Morbidmetal85. Where is it crashing exactly? What part of the process?

After I click import it has a loading circle and then crashes.

Sorry for another question, but it helps me get it figured out. How long does it display that loading circle before it crashes?

Just throwing this out there, are people using internal storage or micro sd, could it be a storage speed issue? Not all storage is created equal, especially when it comes to micro sd reads and writes.

I’ll check when I get back for a more exact response. But approximately 60 secs. I’m happy to help I bought the app today and the premium Forever licenses or pc.  So I’d like to see it up and running.
