Aevans0001
Any possibility of enabling smb shares? I have all my games on nas, would rather not have an external drive on my shield
DOS76
SMB is a pretty good idea but you would have to make sure to use the latest version or it would be useless to people using Windows Server as their NAS since v1 is blocked due to security risks. Yes you can enable it but I'd rather not do that and place my server at risk.
Aevans0001
yeah I am new to shield and I think im learning that it uses smb1. Is there a way to move the images to the external hard drive, instead of the system cache?
Hexxxer
Jason had mentioned in another post at the difficulty in implementing this. Even if launchbox could read the NAS share, there is no guarantee the emulator launching the ROM will be able to.
Aevans0001
makes sense.
Jason Carr
Yeah, I haven't really researched this yet, but it may or may not be possible, and if it is possible, it won't be easy. So it's on my list to research, but Android's limitations might get in the way.
