looneymetal
Hi Guys, I dont normally post as try to read online to find solutions but I'm having a little issue with Luigi's mansion arcade, when it's run in Teknoparrot (within the UI) the game works perfect, when i launch it through launchbox/bigbox using the method: Luigi's Mansion Arcade.txt (as the rom added) Command line para --profile=LuigisMansion.xml The game launches, the title is there but luigi is invisible and the levels have no textures. Every other arcade dump ive tried works fine when launching through launchbox, but i cant put my figure on why its not loading the textures for this one. Please see images (pic 1 launched from TP, pic 2 launched from LB) Anyone had any experience with this sort of thing? Many thanks.
sgc1
Hi I get the same issue but in technoparrot, did you manage to sort it out in launchbox.
kemakokos
Same problem here with startup screen enabled, if you disable startup screen the problem disapears...
techtony
hey @kemakokos can you please tell me how to disable the start up screen? thanks
Retro808
33 minutes ago, techtony said: hey @kemakokos can you please tell me how to disable the start up screen? thanks It should run fine with LB/BB Startup screen. Just double checked and no issues with Luigi's Mansion Arcade and the startup screen. So it could be a setting in your Teknparrot, a driver issue, or the game file. If you need to turn it off though you can do it on a per game basis or turn it off for Teknoparrot as a whole. To do it on per game just right click the game and edit. Then in the Startup/Pause section (last item in the edit window) click the box to apply Override Default Startup Screen settings and click customize. Make sure the "Enable Startup Screen" box is unchecked and save the setting.
techtony
thanks for the quick response. Nothing I do in any of the settings seems to make the start up windows not pop up. But I dont mind the pop ups honestly was more trying to correct the texture issue. I also messed with a bunch of the texture settings on my nvidia app. still no change. going to try and find new game file.

Are you talking about the Teknoparrot windows (the cmd window and the their game loading window) or the actual LB/BB Startups theme? The post in this thread is about the LB/BB startups, not the Tekno windows that pop-up when each game starts to load.
techtony
im not sure what were talking about here. I use launchbox and recently got into teknoparrot. i booted luigis mansion through the teknoparrot UI as well as through launchbox and either way I get invisible luigi and no room texture assets. I googled the issue and this was one of the first posts i saw. I saw @kemakokos say if you disable pop up windows it will fix the texture issue so i started trying to figure out how to disable those windows in hopes it will fix my problem. from launchbox when i click to launch the game i see the two windows pop up that start the teknoparrot boot. no matter what options i choose in launchbox those come up. tho like i said i dont mind them popping up im really just trying to solve the texture issue. did i answer you question? not trying to be rude i was just confused what you were asking. I was asking exactly what you provided in your answer. The Startup they are talking about is not the Teknoparrot windows you see. It is the LB Startup theme option (like the themes you see here). Kemakokos post stated "Startup up screen" not "pop up windows". Two different beasts. So following the steps I gave on turning them off has nothing to do with those TP screens (like the ones below). 16 minutes ago, techtony said: I use launchbox and recently got into teknoparrot. i booted luigis mansion through the teknoparrot UI as well as through launchbox and either way I get invisible luigi and no room texture assets. What happens if you run the game directly in TP and not using LaunchBox? If you get this issue without Launching the game through LB then it is either a game dump or driver issue maybe. It would not a LB issue.
KISS87
I found a solution, right click on vacuum.exe compatibility mode windows 7. It loses some resolution but at least it loads textures! If you get any other solution please let me know!

Setting vaccum.exe to windows 7 compatibility mode then causes the game not to launch for me in teknoparrot. I am really at a loss.

latin625
Are you able to use reshade on this game?
Benjc
Yes, you can use Reshade but it’s not as straightforward as usual. Most seem to recommend using Xenos to ‘inject’ Reshade into LM… however this actually turned out to be the cause of my no textures issues also. Basically, I wrote a BAT file to tell Xenos what to inject and LB would run this before the game started. However, when LB ran this BAT file right before the game I found there were no textures in the game. Without it, textures appeared. It seems you need an artificial delay after executing Xenos and before the game starts, so adding a timeout (1 second worked for me) into the BAT file solved the issue for me; lightguns and border are now initialized, the game runs and there’s textures. Hope this helps someone- happy to clarify any of the above is anyone is confused
