Platform Videos

I am attempting to download platform videos.  However whenever I try to preview videos the system hangs on the VLC screen and never shows a preview. I have tried using different providers, but none seem to work.

It has been that way for quite a while. I am not sure if it was ever looked into/explained. At least I do not remember if it was.

The issue with this is that some videos are encoded to be streamable, while others are not, and it's hard to tell. So some video producers make their videos streamable that way, while others don't. Unfortunately there isn't really a good solution to it.
