Hello everyone!

Just getting my feet wet here and learned a TON from ETA Prime and his youtube channel along with Unbroken Software channel. I have my first set of roms loaded, NES and SNES and now I have come to an issue. I procured a few sets of No Intro Rom Sets at the advice of a video from ETA and all went well for NES and SNES but now I want to load the Sega Genisis games from the ROM set but I see there are zipped files listed as BIOS. Heres the noob question .... What do I do with them. There wasnt any in the NES or SNES folders so I didnt have to worry/deal with them. Getting those files into launchbox was a breeze but I just dont know how to proceed with ROM sets with bios files in them. Can anyone help with this ???

You dont need them for megadrive/genesis either, (but will for mega CD) generally bios files are unzipped and go in the Retroarch/Systems folder.

Neil9000,

Thank you sooooo much for your help !!!!!

So I just add the games like i did for the NES and SNES and dont worry about the bios files that are in the download? Is that correct??

Yes, dont import them to Launchbox, it doesnt need them, its the emulators that need the bios files, and in the case of megadrive, they are not needed at all. As i said though if you move on to other systems, mostly CD based ones, they will need the bios files.

Ok , this question is along the same lines , I have all of my Atari 800 games installed, Launchbox launches them, but Retroarch says I do not have a real Atari OS installed, my question is where does it go and what filename do I use for the OS file?

Russ

PS: If I get everything running right I will make a video showing how to do this.....I have made over 300 videos...Russ
