New update the Plain and Simple demo brings the ui to screaming halt when you select that theme very slow but soon as select another theme everything is smooth again. That includes navigating the menus ect ect.

Previous versions were not. I have a i7 7700K w/64gb RAM Win 10 Pro x64

WOW!! This version is awesome, not only can we add a coloured tint to a image we can even keep the transparency by simply selecting "current image" in the  opacity mask drop down. Hats off this is a great feature, one of the best i think :)

With 1.0.8.8?  I could understand it with 1.0.8.6 or 1.0.8.7

it might be useful if you can capture this slowdown in video form, thanks

no UI halting on my laptop even when it’s running on power save (battery only)

So found out if I do not open the Theme Creator in maximize window everything runs smooth but if maximized slows down. It appears everytime I open the theme creator also it's always maximized no matter what if I unmaximize it and re-size it it will not remember the window position.

I'm getting an odd issue with this version. Some Images are really sharp looking, but they weren't in the previous version I was using (Version 1.0.0.0). Here's an example. The box art for Metal Head is really sharp and the effect carries over into BigBox when the theme is published. The second image is how it looked before. Is there some setting I need to change? I've been using the oldest version of the theme editor for a long time so I may be doing something wrong. Wow! I wouldn’t compare the initial release with the current, they are almost 2 totally different applications but to answer your question.   The latest release and for some time now has been rendering images at a high quality setting versus performance

i did some experimenting myself.  if i turned off (deleted) the animations associated with all the UI Elements the UI wouldn't stutter so much, once i switched from integrated graphics to my secondary GPU (laptop) things started to move more fluidly.   Are you running your PC with integrated graphics?
