The save shader options are not working sorrectly. Still do that, set the shader and save a shader content directory override, but then also back out of the shader menu and also  save a standard content directory override and then it should stick.

Ah ok... thanks.  I'll see if I can get it working.

It doesn't seem to work for me.  I save the shader directory option, then content directory in the overrides menu, but when I go back to a game in the other platform it still has the wrong shader (I did this process for both).

Then you likely have a game override that is overriding the content directory one, are you testing the same game all the time? Try another, this does work as i use genesis_gx for megadrive, master system, mega cd, game gear. sg-1000 and i can have diffeent shaders and bezels on all different systems. Another thin g i would check is that you have turned off the retroarch option to save on exit, that can mess with stuff too.

I'm missing something.  I just tried all your suggestions, but I get the same result every time.  Thanks for the help, though.

*edit*  Oddly, I just tried this on Game Gear / Genesis (on the same core) and it worked fine, just as you said.  Not sure why I'm having trouble with the Gameboy systems... but I decided to just switch to separate cores for those to prevent additional hassle.  Thanks again.
