I'm trying to run retroarch on an old all-in-one PC that I intend putting inside an arcade cabinet but it runs really badly and when I can get it to run ROMs they look awful and I have no shader options or anything I'm having to use different stand-alone emulators because the ones in retroarch just don't want to work properly any help would be grateful I just don't get what I'm doing wrong I've never had problem with retroarch on the past and I'm loving this Launch Box it just seems any wrong that I throw at it from Atari Sega Nintendo they look so Trash and run awful I cant even change Video driver from gl1 if I do it crashes

Bizhawk might be worth looking into but maybe you can provide more details on what you mean by "look so trash". Also what sort of hardware are you using ? Because RA cores can run on very low end hardware like a Raspberry Pi, maybe some of your settings are wrong. One typical problem that comes to mind is often people have a 4K display but only running at 30hz refresh rate instead of 60 and this gives the impression it is running poorly when it is not.

Sorry

I mean it's running like it's proper struggling.

It's a intel core i3 8gb ram. The stand alone emulators run fine not a problem. I know these are retro games but they look way better in the stand alone emulator. The same emulators core in retro arch struggling runs so slow .

Ok well again you aren't proving any real details here.

Your refresh rate in RA maybe set wrong. RA cores don't really require that much more system resources than stand alone emulators.

How old is the i3 ? What generation ?

Also again you haven't given any details about looks. By default RA uses a bilinear filtering, turning that off will give clean sharp pixels.
