Arne
Im trying to use mame2003plus for several games that run better with this core. Under edit tab for game, then under emulation/use comnand line ,I am using the following command line: -L "cores/mame2003plus_libretro.dll" This isnt working. Game wont launch. I was hoping by now, the latest version of launchbox would have a simple check box menu under the edit menu to choose which core you would prefer. You can do this for games with multiple versions.....simply choose the version click ok, and your done. But we are still manually putting in command line code for using a prefered core. Retropie allows you to choose a core and your done. Still....Im pretty happy with launchbox. Thanks for any help.
Lordmonkus
Just make a new emulator entry in LB and point it to RA, add the platform and the core you want and then you can choose that emulator for each game you want to use that core with. You don't need to set up any new emulators at all either, just point to your existing setup.

Mame roms work best in the same version of the emulator as the version of your romset. They dont just work better in unrelated versions, they would only work better in the MAME2003 core if your romset is actually the MAME2003 romset, if its any other romset then you should be using another core or version of the standalone emulator.
