Setting for Apple IIGS

@marcosgamingNo, there is no automatic switching. Plus MAME sadly does not have a "disk swap" command like many emulators. So if the game wants a specific disk in Drive 1 (like a character disk), you have to use the MAME UI to swap it (tab key in MAME..File Manager).  To some degree that is also how a real Apple IIGS worked...you eject disk, insert the other.  Having multiple drives was expensive in the day at ~$900 in today's dollars for one 3.5" DD.

While Mame is running Apple IIGS emulator:

  1.  Hit TAB key
  2. select File Manager
  3. select floppy 3 or 4 and hit enter (whatever slot the software is asking for)
  4. A windows file manager comes up, select the floppy image you want and hit enter . That will load disk.
  5. If for some reason TAB isn’t working, hit you Scroll Lock key to toggle keyboard /UI input
  6. this is the same way Mame manages all software emulation and disk, cd, or cart swaps for others besides Apple IIGS
