N64 DD

They load just fine for me using Mupen64plus_next.

https://www.libretro.com/index.php/mupen64plus-next-2-0-64dd-support-angrylion-and-gliden64-in-one-build-parallel-rsp-support-and-android/

alternatively you can pass the "--subsystem ndd" command as well to RA.

If your trying to boot a rom thats ndd only, with no disk/cart combo (ex. Super Mario 64 -Disk Version) use Parallel n64 for that. Both need a bios installed in system folder.

Anyone able to launch N6DD games with launchbox? If so can you post how you did it?

thanks,

Are you able to run the games directly in the emulator? If not, then the best thing to do is start there and get the games playing there. Then, if they work in the emulator and not in LB we know it is a setting issue in LB directly.

  • 4 weeks later...

Tried with Mupen64 next and F-Zero Expansion, and it works like a charm following  https://www.libretro.com/index.php/mupen64plus-next-2-0-64dd-support-angrylion-and-gliden64-in-one-build-parallel-rsp-support-and-android/

The key seems to be grabbing the correct BIOS rom (the US retail one) and putting it named like this "IPL.n64" in the mupen64plus folder of retroarch/system. A quick google search for that exact name shall lead everyone to the correct file.

Name your two roms like indicated on the page linked above (

F-Zero X (USA).z64

and

F-Zero X (USA).z64.ndd

and load the former.

Heavy guitar riff upcoming 😉
