EmperorStorky
I noticed that some games don’t work when launching from within LB. What happens is that you just see a black screen. This happens for example with the Mortal Kombat games, but for example Killer Instinct launches perfect. I did test another launcher to see if it’s an issue within LB and I guess it is as when I used a different launcher it just works. Edit: It does launches RA but looks likes to be not responding. Can only force quit it as any other button combination doesn’t work. Edited April 25, 2022 by EmperorStorky
Headrush69
Are you 100% sure you have the correct mame203plus rom set? (Sometimes other launchers are point to a different rom location) Mortal Kombat I, II, and III all launching fine here from LB using mame2003plus Retroarch core. When I tried reset collection frontend and add same Rom set with same RA core it’s working fine. I saw one the Odin group on FB another person having the same issue. EmperorStorky
For whatever reason it's working... except some street fighter games like the Street Fighter III games. Could this be some memory related issue?

Lordmonkus
Is Street Fighter 3 even in the 2003+ set ? I don't see the rom for it in my set though my set hasn't been updated in quite a while. I also do not see it in the 2 top search results for the set listed on the archive.
EmperorStorky
For some reason it appears in my Arcade list...
Lordmonkus
Well I cannot comment on the Android version of LB, I don't use it so I don't know if it's an issue with the importer but as far as I can tell there is no SF3 in the Mame 2003 plus set. So if it is showing in LB and the game is not a part of the set then that would be the issue.

Sounds like you used the mame fullset importer without a actual mame fullset, mame 2003 isnt a fullset, or a official MAME one.

Than just turn that off right I guess that there is not really a full set right for android?
Lordmonkus
Mame 2003 plus is a "full set" it's just not complete like the latest official Mame sets. The 2003 plus core and set is a forked version of a very old version of Mame made specifically for lower end hardware while adding in games that were not emulated back in 2003 by Mame. It's now its own thing but is not official or supported by the Mame devs, in fact the Mame devs actively hate its very existence.
EmperorStorky
Is there a better set to use? I have the AYN Odin Pro
Lordmonkus
Probably not, the Mame 2003 plus set or Final Burn Neo are probably your best bets. The full modern up to date Mame is not meant for lower powered hardware. There is nothing wrong with the Mame 2003 plus set, it fits its niche case use very well. Lordmonkus
FBN is a different emulator loosely based off of Mame but is different and has its own rom set.
