andamaroo
I'm making playlists for each of my systems, and when you make playlists titled "Favorites" and "All Games" Launchbox automatically populates the clear logo images for those as a default. I can't figure out from where it's grabbing those clear logos. Does anyone know where those files are copied from? I'd love to replace the default for those so they automatically copy over my graphics. It'd be a huge time saver. Thanks.
Retro808
Not sure what you mean by where are they grabbing them from. However, when they are downloaded they are stored: \Images\Playlists\[Name of Playlist]\Clear Logo\ If you want to replace to stock ones with your own just place the images you want to use in the correct folders referenced above for your playlists there and name them exactly as your playlist is called in LB. All image types are located within the images folder. You can replace any images you want. Just need to spend some time poking around in it and you should quickly identify LB/BB image filing if you need to find other items like Platform Clear Logos or Platform Categories Clear Logos. These folder locations are where themes will grab the images to show when using LB/BB.
C-Beats
The logos themselves are originally embedded in the app. I believe they are available in the downloads section of the website as well
andamaroo
Basically I don't want to use the default ones that LaunchBox provides. I was hoping there was a local source I could replace the All Games and Favorites versions with my graphics, and they would auto-populate my versions when I made new playlists. Sounds like that's probably not possible. Thank you for the input.

Based on you saying you want to replace them with your images ("my graphics"), you have the images you want to use. But you also said you're "hoping there was a local source", which can be read as you're looking for replacement images to use. I'm going to assume the prior (you have them). As Neil indicated, it is possible. Just remove the existing image and replace it with yours in the /LaunchBox/Images/Playlists/All Games/Clear Logo/ folder and in the /LaunchBox/Images/Playlists/Favorites/Clear Logo/ folder respectively. Option "B" (Do it from within LaunchBox itself) In LaunchBox, Right click on your "Favorites" playlist (on the lefthand side) and click Edit... Drag the image you want to use onto the Images section (right side of the Edit Playlist window). Click the image type and change it to Clear Logo. Click the 'left chevron' to navigate to the "default image", then click the "X" to delete it. (you'll now have 1/1 [one of one] images showing) Click OK to save and close. Do the same for the "All Games" playlist you created. (Not to be confused with the "ALL" playlist, which isn't really a playlist anyway. Besides, it can't be edited.) Using his method "B" means you do not have to worry about naming the file as LB will name it once you make the selection. One of the best things you can do is spend some time looking around inside the LB folder and familiarize yourself with what is contained within. andamaroo
Quote You were already advised it was possible.... I understand I can go in manually and change the playlist graphic for each playlist in each platform category. The write up that was detailed and very helpful. What I was trying to find out was if there was a way I could do it with a bit more automation. Right now, when you make a playlist named "Favorites" LaunchBox assigns it a set clear logo image automatically. Instead of going through 30+ platforms categories and changing the LaunchBox Default "Favorites" Clear Logo to the graphic I made manually, I was hoping there might be a place I could setup an image that LaunchBox would instead use automatically every time I made a "Favorites" playlist in any Platform Category. I apologize for not clearly communicated what I was trying to accomplish. It's all good. I can certainly setup all the custom playlist graphics manually. Thank you. Retro808
No worries. Sometimes it takes a couple posts to get thing clarified. Unfortunately right now there is not a more streamlined process. Might be hard since playlists names can be so unique to every individual user that it might be hard to make it sort of a mass dump and go type thing.
