dmaker
There are only about 20 - 30 or so mame roms that I care to play. Basically just the 80's classics--asteroids, donkey kong, space invaders, etc. The import tool wants a full romset, but I don't want to import that many that I will probably never play. What would be the best way to import a small number of mame roms like that?

Just use the standard rom importer on on the last page of the wizard check the box for mame metadata which will give you another window with options similar to the mame fulset importer. dmaker
Thank you for the response. Is there a particular Retroarch core that I should pick, in your opinion? Is Retroarch an okay choice, or should I install MAME, do you think? Edited April 14, 2023 by dmaker
Lordmonkus
Use stand alone Mame.
