So I want to get this working in Launchbox. Works fine in standalone MAME. I have the games imported and have the settings like this.

When I launch a game window pops up and closes right away.

I might be wrong but I've always assumed that you couldn't mix different media formats in the command line for MAME, unless a software system actually required it - for example orion128 -cart romdisk -cass

tried what you said but still not working. I noticed that the popup changed a bit but closes so fast I can't see what it's doing.

Future readers searching the forum for "Coleco Adam" are going to want to know how you got it working.  I'm kind of curious too as I hate giving out ill-advice.
