crusadeRGP Posted Saturday at 06:39 PM Posted Saturday at 06:39 PM I'd like to use this but with a computer monitor as the bezel. Quote

At a quick glance, those are all "TV" bezels, and you want a computer monitor looking bezel. As for sourcing bezels, I think you just need to search Google. There may be some here in the Downloads section. Not sure. I don't really use bezels myself, so not really sure of any good places to look for some. Maybe someone who comes across this thread has one (or a couple) they can share. Quote
crusadeRGP Posted Saturday at 07:09 PM Posted Saturday at 07:09 PM (edited) I will make the bezel trying to find out how to make everything work with eXoDOS with how the games are launched. Edited Saturday at 07:29 PM by crusadeRGP Quote

That works. I imagine it gets setup just like any other emulator. Just follow the instructions under Setting up on the main page. The only thing needed for the emulator is to make sure it's not set to fullscreen. And if you can't change that, you can try what I suggested a couple posts back. But before you go into too much trouble creating your bezel, you may want to try setting up using a bezel you already have from a different platform. Just to make sure it'll even work with eXoDOS. 1 Quote
crusadeRGP Posted Sunday at 04:04 AM Posted Sunday at 04:04 AM After trying with no luck because eXoDOS has it's own emulators folder so none of the DOSBox or any programs contained within show up in the bezel launcher directory. Each game in eXoDOS is launched with a bat file and I don't know where to begin if this is even possible. Quote

Each game in eXoDOS is launched with a bat file and I don't know where to begin if this is even possible. This plugin needs an emulator assigned [directly] to the games (in LaunchBox) to work with. Since your games use a batch file, they 'don't have an emulator' that the plugin sees. aka, this plugin can't work with batch files. If the batch files all point to a common executable file, you may be able to use ReShade to add a bezel. You may also try asking on eXoDOS's discord to see if/how others add bezels. Quote
crusadeRGP Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Not having much luck with eXoDOS integration. Don't think it's going to work without a lot of changes. When using this for any system it works but it will show LaunchBox inside of the bezel blurred and zoomed and I have the delay of 4 seconds checked and use the black screen option. Anything else that can be done? Quote

You may try asking around on their Discord. Quote
crusadeRGP Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I didn't get it to work with eXoDOS. The question is about your program and how it's used with the emulator. It's showing LaunchBox inside the TV bezel before the screen shows up. Quote

To clarify: - You checked the "use the black screen option" (which should be the Hide Game Startup (g)) - You also checked "have the delay of 4 seconds checked" (aka Longer Sleep (l)) And everything is working. It's just that right after launching a game, you see LaunchBox behind the bezel before the emulator window get resized and focused behind the bezel. Correct? Do you have Startup Screens enabled? If not, I'll have to do some checking. Not sure I've ever tried it without the Startup Screens. If you do have the Startup Screens enabled, it's possible that the changes recently made to them may be affecting the plugin. You might try playing with the Startup Screen settings for the emulators. - Check or un-check "Hide All Windows..." - Check or un-check Automatically close the startup screen..." - Adjust the "Post-Launch Display Time" Quote
crusadeRGP Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Yes that's correct and I'm not using a startup screen. I'm using Xemu emulator. Edited 7 hours ago by crusadeRGP 1 Quote

According to my logs, the "Background Window" (black screen) is being created, but I'm net seeing it either. And after testing about 30-40 times, now I can't get the emulator to display behind the bezel. It's like the bezel doesn't have a transparent center area. (I probably have something else going on with all the different apps I started and shutdown today. And may need to just restart the PC.) But I noticed it was also having issues when using startup screens. Ugh. (hopefully it's related to the just-need-to-restart) I'll see if I can dig into the black-background-not-showing more sometime this week. 1 Quote
