Hi there, am able to run ti99 4a games in mame ok.

But when imported to Launchbox the games will not load and run. All other mame machines run ok in LB.

Just A quick flash of A Black screen and then back to launchbox.

have seen other posts here but dont seem relavant.

Any Ideas please.

Can you share a couple of screenshots?

Edit your MAME emulator and share a screenshot of the

  1. Details section
  2. Associated Platforms section (where we can see your TI99 platform and its values)

Edit a TI99 game you're trying to launch and share a screenshot of the

  1. Launching section
  2. Emulation section

Didn't see any of the requested game screenshots, so guessing 2 possibilities to getting it to run via LaunchBox using you dedicated TI99 MAME emulator.

Attempt #1

Try checking the 2 boxes: Remove Quotes and Remove File Extension....

Attempt #2

Don't check those 2 boxes and add to the end of the Default Command-line Parameters, -cart

Along time ago Sentai brad who i thought was on hear made this.. It's fool proof though it's old and another updated may exist.. Tells ya what bios o run and the command line you need. example ti99_4a -cart which goes into your default command line like joe viling said. I think the files have to be rpk for that command line.

Just wanted to add my own personal experience and thoughts here, as I've always been fascinated with the Ti99 but have had some frustration with getting it emulated. Today, I was able to get it running with both the classic99 emulator and mame. For mame, I used the following default command line parameters (within the associated platforms menu) and the only games that worked were in "rpk" format. Also, be sure to have the appropriate bios files.

ti99_4a -ioport peb -ioport:peb:slot3 speech -cart

Classic99 seems to be a much more 'complete' emulator for the Ti99, as it played every file format I threw at it, including the ".c" and ".g" extensions

Hope that helps out in some way
