Loading PS1 games with Duckstation "The specified save state does not exist."

Does not happen when I load a game directly from Duck.

This didn't happen before. It happens even on new games I haven't played before.

 

Clues anyone?

you running Duckstation standalone or Duckstation RetroArch core? You may have some "load save state on start" option enabled that is attempting to load a state that you don't have.

Standalone. Do you know where I would find the option?

EDIT: Btw it doesn't happen when I load it without launchbox.

I've not used standalone at all. What command line are you passing? If you go to Tools > Manage > Emulators and then select and edit Duckstation, grab a screenshot of the first page of that edit window that appears and post it up.

Also, would you like me to try first to make new save states in the program standalone first and see if that works and save some time?

Id guess its the -resume, just remove it.

You can use both if you want to. Could either make another separate instance of the emulator in the emulator list, or make an additional version for the game(s). this way you can select an option to load the game traditionally, ie, from a power off state. or if you want, you can load the game from its "resumed" state. I like having the power off state as the default and use the resume state with "Play With" or "Versions" (additional apps) feature.
