Launchbox Kepps making a temp folder????

hey guys anyone know why launchbox or bigbox keeps making a folder called Temp in launchbox folder?

Because it's a temporary folder it uses to extract roms to to load them and then deletes the contents of that folder when you are done playing the game. It is normal and required when you have your roms compressed in zip or 7z format since most emulators cannot read those file formats.

I see that makes sense. But I also have a 4rb Launchbox build that does not creat a temp folder. At least not in the same location I'm guessing. Is there a way to chose what location maybe?

That temp folder isn't the one we create. Ours is in \\LaunchBox\Metadata\Temp. You probably have a third party app or plugin in use doing it.

I see ok I will remove all plugins to see if that takes care of it.thank you for the info.

ok so i removed all plugins in the plugins folder and the temp folder is still being created. any other ideas. no third party app being used either.

What's in the folder? Like I said we don't ever use it so I'm not sure how best to help ya.

Well nothing in it now. Just temp folder. There was 1 file in there at 1 time. Should have took em a picture of that.

Ok something just appeared in the temp folder. Does this help in knowing what it could be?

That's probably from ThirdScreen. Are you sure you deleted all plugins?

Really? I did but put it back when the folder was still being regenerated. But this file showed up in it now. I can try again to delete all plugins and try again.
