Elhora Posted Wednesday at 01:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:01 PM hi everyone, I dont know if it's supposed to work that way, but when i arrive on the homepage of Launchbox, i have no link to the forum neither to create an account or go to profile. The only way i have to access the forum (aside from my browser history) is to click on the GameDB menu and from there, the link to forum and my profile appears on the top menu. That's not a big deal, but it's annoying. I use Google Chrome, but i have the same problem on any browser and on 2 differents PC. Quote
C-Beats Posted Wednesday at 01:11 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:11 PM Help & Support > Technical forums will take you to this site. Also there is no login for the homepage because there's nothing to log INTO. GamesDB, Forums, and Feedback sites all have credentials and require logging in to fully utilize. The WWW does not. Quote

Then once in the Technical Support Forums, you profile should be in the upper right. Not sure what's there if not logged in. I imagine 'Sign in or Create an Account'.?. Once here, you might think about adding it to your favorites bar. Quote
Elhora Posted Wednesday at 01:26 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 01:26 PM (edited) ok i did this and added the forum and profile links to my favorites. But Really strange it doesn't show on the home page. At least, if you need to be logged to access the forum, it still not show on the home page, and even i'm logged i still need to go to the support forum to access the forum even if i just want to check some random post.... The link shows for you under Help & Support. doesn't it? Or are you thinking the Technical Forums Support link should be a top-menu item? If that's the case, also hidden under Help & Support is Request a Feature. Though I don't think there's a specific area for the main web site 'features', just click Create a new post and start typing your request/suggestion. Doing it there will ensure it'll get noticed and tracked. (Whereas a post here on the Forums can inadvertently get overlooked.) Quote

Could simply go directly to the forums instead of the homepage. Either by typing "forums" instead of "www" or using a bookmark. Quote
Elhora Posted Wednesday at 01:51 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 01:51 PM i'll stick with the shortcut, as it seems the way to go. but for me it's strange that you dont have a direct link to the forum on the start page, and you have to go to the "support menu" to access the forum. On many website when you have a forum, you have a direct link on the land screen, and if you need to be logged to access it, it will redirect you first on a log/create account. that's why i was thinking i had a problem, like an extension messing the website. but that seems the way it's designed so in the end, no technical problem for me ^^ 1 Quote
C-Beats Posted Wednesday at 01:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:57 PM I mentioned it to the team. I can definitely see the confusion regarding there not just being a generic "Forums" link on the top level navbar. We'll see what they do with the suggestion moving forward. Quote
