dragon57 Posted Saturday at 03:56 AM Posted Saturday at 03:56 AM I wonder if anyone else is having issues with my usual way of navigating to the forum here. I hit the main URL, then click on the 'Unread Content' link. For the last 2 or 3 days, I get a sorted list of posts like before, but I also usually have a large number of posts in the response that should not be there; old posts with old dates that have already been marked read. JoeViking245 Posted Saturday at 04:20 AM Posted Saturday at 04:20 AM Yes. I've been seeing the same thing. I think [a big?] part of it is the forums been getting hit with spam quite a bit recently. When a spammer is identified and banned, their recent posts get deleted. A guess I have is when their posts are deleted, the thread is staying marked as "un-read". It didn't used to do that. Assuming my guess is correct, that is. Regardless, something screwy is going on. 1 Quote
Tsik Posted Saturday at 07:39 AM Posted Saturday at 07:39 AM Also from the posts I "Follow" I get my email flooded with those spam posts. That's pretty annoying 😠 Quote
Rlad Posted Saturday at 03:28 PM Posted Saturday at 03:28 PM I was just about to make a thread. I always browse using a custom stream set to past 30 days sorted newest first. Quote
skizzosjt Posted Saturday at 03:28 PM Posted Saturday at 03:28 PM yes I noticed the behavior surrounding the unread content page being wacky. for me some of the old posts that shouldn't be there are removed from the unread content list after viewing them again. some are not going away no matter how many times I read them for ex. that astrobob FAQ post will not go away. it is perpetually stuck on the unread content list it seems. if I click on the others, they will be removed from my unread content list Quote
Shredder_guitar Posted Saturday at 05:12 PM Posted Saturday at 05:12 PM (edited) Hasn't been a problem for me, but I did notice in the very beginning of 2024 there was a ginormous uptick in bot/spam traffic pretty much all across the internet. Edited Saturday at 05:13 PM by Shredder_guitar Quote
