Working on a Theme

Hi all,

I'm working on a theme. Actually I'm working on 3 different themes. All in different stages of planing and preparing.
Anyway, i have gotten to the point were I have an early build up and running and I thought I'll add some mookups here and see what you guys think.

I am going to redo all the icons used, and there may be some size adjustments. But over all, what do you think?

Looks cool! The version with fanart backgrounds is my preference.

The one with fanart in the background is my favorite. With a tiny bit of blur it goes hard.

I really love it. It’s exactly the kind of clean, subtle design that works beautifully without trying too hard.

And what makes it great is the attention to detail. Honestly, it’s hard to pick just one view. I think you have enough room to include all three if you wanted to, which would give people more choice.

You could even go further and create a full view, filling the whole thing with wall views and extra elements. I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing the rest.

I am in no way an artist, so drawing the small icons takes me a long time, but I will be recycling them for other themes in the future.

My son is here today, so I have no time to work on the theme, but during this week I am hoping to get a prototype working. Once everything is working, I'll release the theme and add more icons along the way. And probably more views further down the line too.

I have some more ideas for themes after this one, and they will all share the same clean/simple kind of design

There’s honestly not much more to say about what you’ve made. I wish you all the best, and I really hope more creators and new faces will come along. It’s always great to see fresh talent appear.

Just one piece of advice — I’m speaking from personal experience — avoid Reddit when showing your work. It’s not always the best place. The feedback can be pretty harsh, and sometimes even completely surreal. You can post something you put real effort into and get 10 upvotes for no real reason.

So yeah, that’s my advice of the day.

For the rest, enjoy yourself and have fun with it. That’s the most important thing. !
