  1. Thanks, I didn't see the option of Game Discovery Center here. I think the orignal idea that it changes every time you enter is perfect. My request was not to replace it, it was to add other options with lists of the same type grouped together. As if it were filtered by keywords that each list had. Maybe it will be understood better with a picture:
  2. I've been testing the Game Discovery Center and I found it really interesting. Great job. I have some some functionality suggestions. Maybe they can't be implemented or are not the path you are looking for, but I leave them here in case anyone be interesting: It would be interesting to create different categories for the lists: "best of", "worst of", "discover games", "because you liked", "explore games", "event lists"... Now it's a bit chaotic and interesting lists like "Spooky games for October" can go unnoticed. For event lists, it could be interesting show games that you don't have (as happens with similar games or ports). Some games that you may not know existed would be discovered. Incorporate a percentage of games played or completed from each list, would encourage to try more games from the list. Like some kind of achievement. If it were related to completed achievements, could be win medals on your profile (something like Retroachievement events). It would be fantastic to see lists of RA events (like Achievement of the Week) and the latest games that incorporate achievements. I imagine that there isn't a way to automate this information, but I mention it in case there will be luck. Show a logo for the event lists would give a fantastic aspect. Give the option to add the Game Discovery Center as one of the platforms or categories that appear when you open BigBox. As a user who uses Launchbox more than BigBox, it would be great to have Game Discovery Center in Launchbox. I hope you have it in your plans.
  3. It happens to me with all Arcade games. These are the data obtained in the importance of Mame, with the option to update the metadata activated. It's from 5 days ago: "Download Metadata and Media Wizard" and the first option (Download and replace metadata): This is the result, with all games with 01/01/19xx as released date: Now if I search the game from edit option (this case is "Anti-Aircraft"), it shows the complete released date:
  4. Hi!! In Beta 4, when the metadata is downloades with "Download Metadata and Media Wizard", the release date is updated with only the year (01/01/19xx). However, if you update the metadata with the Edit option of each game, the release date is updated with day, month and year.
  5. Hi!! When a game data is loaded, Launchbox only loads one of the developers and publishers, although there are several in the database. I detected this with Arcade platform. Two examples: https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/36858-indy-800 https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/34481-breakout I think this happened one or two years ago, in case it helps.
  6. I love the large number of visual styles in the world of video games. From the characteristic graphics of 8-bit computers like Spectrum or C64, to the very different aesthetics of some indies, like Machinarium, Four Last Things or Return of the Obra Dinn. I love the pixel art. The classic games like Dynamite Headdy, Metal Slug or Symphony of the Night, and the more current visual gems, like Owlboy, Rain World, Inmost or that masterpiece called Blasphemous. However, there are two games that captivated me when I saw them first images: "Ori and the Blind Forest" and "Ori and the Will of the Wisps".
  7. Great job. With these images it will be much easier to identify the platform folders. I love it!!!
  8. Sorry. I should have specified it better. I was referring to the button that appears at the top of the web with the games available on Steam that says "View Original Steam Assets". That button shows the "official" cover, banner, and logo from Steam, but I don't know if it's loaded like the rest of the images. Maybe it's configured differently and that information cannot be obtained. I hadn't thought about the option you mention. It's a good alternative. In any case, searching for a few games on the website is not a problem. The hard work is already done by the great plugin
  9. Incredible work. It works perfectly. This plugin is wonderful and I wouldn't know how to live without it. I have two suggestions: -I don't know if there would be any option to show the images of the Steam button or a link that links to the page if this button existed. -In my case, I have several games whose titles are not in English. I don't know if there is an option to write a title manually to perform the search.
  10. Hi, @Arthurcoutinho600. Sorry for the delay, I had a busy few days. Here you have the images. In a while I will upload them with new ones. GameJolt: Games for Windows Life: GamersGate: Direct2Drive:
  11. Hi!!! Thank you!! I'm glad you like them. Unfortunately, I don't have templates for 3D covers and I'm not very clear how to make them πŸ™ˆ. For these 2.5D covers I based a little on the PS2 style. Maybe using a 3D template of PS2, it could be done. I'd have to investigate it.
  12. Hi, @Arthurcoutinho600 I don't knew nothing about GameJolt. Interesting platform. When I have more covers done, I will update the download files. Meanwhile, here you are the images (if there is any problem saving them from here, tell me): STEAM: EA: GAMEJOLT:
  13. Version 1.0.2

    230 downloads

I created these Windows 2.5D box fronts for the differents storefronts, each one with its own logo and colors for the plastic boxes. The 2D covers are obtained from steamgriddb (I love the clean box art), giving priority to the official Steam boxes. I also added the templates from each store. If you are interested, I can update with more games as I make them. You can make your requests for others stores or games too. In the case of requests for games, also indicate the store to simplify the work πŸ˜‰ List of Games for STEAM (1234 Games) List of Games for GOG (111 Games) List of Games for EPIC GAMES (164 Games) List of Games for AMAZON GAMES (104 Games) List of Games for EA (15 Games) List of Games for UBISOFT (3 Games) List of Games for BATTLE.NET (3 Games) List of Games for ITCH.IO (94 Games) New Games for LEGACTY GAMES (7 Games) New Games for GAMES FOR WINDOWS LIFE (9 Games) New Games for GAMEJOLT (13 Games) New Games for GAMERSGATE (3 Games) New Games for DIRECT2DRIVE (3 Games)
  14. I love the work of Alfonso Azpiri, a Spanish illustrator that work with video game companies of the "Golden age of Spanish software" like Dinamic Software, Topo Soft or Opera Soft. They made games mostly for 8-bit computers (Spectrum, Amstrad, MSX, C64), and some for Atari ST, Amiga and DOS.
  15. Ohhh!! I like the idea of Sub-Platforms and I think I will apply them to my collection. One doubt. With handhelds, do you include the "color" versions (like Game Boy, WonderSwan or NeoGeo Pocket) as Platform or Sub-Platform? They are different consoles, but also they are a kind of enhanced version. πŸ€”
  16. I like to use playlists, especially the automatic playlists. I have 270 for game collections (I called "series" because it sounds more natural to me), although I have to revise them when adding new systems. Also I have a collection for the games played in each year, and my last "project" is a playlist for each arcade board, although its progres is very slowly πŸ˜…
  17. A graphics and resolution update is essential. But I really appreciate that you can play the original game. In addition to pleasing the nostalgic people, it's a simple way to preserve the original games.
  18. I would like an Amanita Design Collection, a small studio with many gems and always with a different graphic aspect that I love.
  19. Easy answer: a collection of all pixel games of Zelda. And to compensate so many good games, another collection with the Zelda games for CD-i 🀣
  20. It's hard to stick with just one topic to ask. One of the things I love about Launchbox is its database. I would like to know if are there plans to add other platforms in the near future? It would be great to have information about systems like J2ME, BREW, Symbian, Gizmondo, Super Vision 8000, Amstrad PCW, dedicated handheld or other systems. And as a fan of the history of consoles and computers, also I would like to know how unknown systems (at least to me) like EACA EG2000 Color Genie, Exidy Sorcerer, Hector HRX, Jupiter ACE, Memotech MTX512, Spectravideo or Tomy Tutor were included. It has helped me to know about new systems. Thanks to all team for their great work!!
  21. Wii Sports: For a decade, there was no family gathering or party without this game. 🎾 Pro Evolution 6: Some friends, some pizzas, some beers and this game, was all that you needed to enjoy a good weekend. ⚽ Uno: The legendary game for the holidays, but without having to buy the cards. 🎴 Athens 2004: I could name any game from the Olympics, but this was the one I played the most with friends. πŸ… Super Mario Kart: Throwing a red shell at the right moment could destroy a friendship. 🏎️
  22. I don't know if this is the idea of these lists, but the first thing that comes to mind is the game collections (Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Final Fantasy, Asterix & Obelix, Pacman, 007, Civilization, God of War and so many more). The truth is that there are an infinite number of them. πŸ˜… On the other hand, maybe a list of Bizarre Games (Seaman, Bread Simulator, Hatoful Boyfriend, Power Diggerz, Mister Mosquito or Boogerman for example), or of lists of games set in certain regions or eras: Ugh-games (prehistorik games like Bonk's games, Far Cry Primal, The Flinstones, ARK, Disney Dinosaurs...), Japan (Ghost of Tsutsima, Tenchu, Like a Dragon, Yakuza...), WWII (Company of Heroes, Call of Duty, Battlefiled 1942...). In seasonal games, there could be Halloween or Christmas games or event games (games based on movies that won the Oscars with the Oscars, Olympic games, World Cups, Champions League with the finals, American football with the Super Bowl, F1 games wit the start of season, Dakar games, educational games with back to school, romantic games on Valentine's Day...).
  23. Great idea!!! My Top5: Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Master System): It's the game of my childhood πŸ‘Ά Dynamite Headdy (Mega Drive): A wonderful platform. Alien Soldier is considered the Trasure's masterpiece, but for me is this beautiful platform 🀩 Age of Empires II (PC): The work done with the Definite Edition is tremendously good, but it's difficult to me not include the original game. PD: Initially, I played it on PS2 with controller and put many hours into it πŸ™ˆ Final Fantasy X (PS2): The game that changed my way of understanding the video games (and the first one that made me shed some tears) πŸ˜… The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch): The game I always end up coming back to ❀️
