  1. Have you tried launching Mame by itself to see it would would play with Launchbox?
  2. I would check to make sure you have a full rom set matching your version of Mame
  3. I have them in my Mame roms folder. I didn’t make separate systems for them.
  4. I just have a regular Mame set and it launched no problem in Mame.
  5. I added a music wheel and within that wheel I have a jukebox wheel which I use an app called album player. Makes sorting music very easy. I also made a wheel under music for YouTube music and Spotify so I have multiple options for playing music.
  6. Someone made a batch file to create the text files for all the games but the link isnt there anymore but they also made a different xml to use so launchbox recognizes the games. Do you have the text files by chance? I would love to try to get this working!
  7. I’ve tried this method with replacing the xml but I still can’t get the games to launch. I can launch the emulator through Launchbox but not the games? I have the same settings and changed the emulator ID in the xml to Marc mine. Where do you point the rom files? To the Vita3k folder where the games are installed?
  8. Seems like PlayStation Vita is similar to Sony PlayStation 3 meaning it uses an eboot file to launch. Why can’t those be imported like PlayStation 3 games then? I’m thinking whatever the Launchbox team coded for importing PS3 games could also be done for PS Vita or am I wrong? Making 2,000 empty text files doesn’t sound fun but a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. 😩🤣
  9. I think I’m using refried but definitely not using neon arcade. Now that I think about it the video loads before the theme so probably wouldn’t be that. I do know also that led blinky can take a minute to load when launching but always loads. Do you use led blinky? I feel like Big box is occasionally taking to long to load certain things and the video call times out or it’s going through a check, maybe valid license check and that’s causing it to time out but I’m totally guessing.
  10. Is it possible it has something to do with the theme we are using? I haven’t tried switching themes.
  11. I have to say for me it plays 75% of the time but I always wonder when I start my machine if this will be the time it doesn’t play. You would think it would either do it consistently or not at all. That’s where I’m confused.
  12. Does anyone know if there is a way to import my zip files without creating a separate text file using the game # ID? -Thanks
  13. Does anyone have a set of 360 wheels? I’m assuming this set hasn’t been done yet since my games don’t get them installed in Launchbox for BigBox.
  14. I didn’t realize there were no wheels downloaded for the 2 games I had and had hide games with no clear logo filter on.
  15. Hi. I’ve gotten most wheels set up no problem but can’t get Xbox 360 to show on the platform list. It’s showing and launching in Launchbox but the wheel isn’t appearing in Bigbox. I feel like I’m missing something dumb. Also the wheel is in the images/platforms/clear logo and named correctly??
  16. Thanks for sharing. I used to love your artwork in Hyperspin. I always wondered if any of the OG Hyperspin theme creators would end up switching to Launchbox. Nice to see they have.
  17. That’s what I’m currently running. Bigbox with an iPac. Definitely worth it. I just programmed my buttons with the WinPac software to what keyboard keys I want each button to represent on my control panel. I use Mame as my emulator for arcade games and Dolphin for game cube. The rest I use Retroarch because I like how I can use my control panel in Retroarch or use my Xbox controllers and don’t have to change any settings. I can literally start playing a game with my control panel then during the game pick up the controller and continue the game without doing anything. Anyway as easy as Bigbox is to set up doing it yourself would be well worth it so you can trouble shoot on your own. Although I don’t think I’ve had to change anything or had anything break once I’m set up unlike Hyperspin which I was constantly battling. Good luck!
  18. I’ve done the update wheel images and force populate wheel images already but sometimes if I change letters in a wheel like go from A in arcade to P quickly the wheel images take some time to show sometimes. If I scroll it will scroll with no wheel images so you don’t know what game you’re on. Is there any recommended settings to make wheel images load faster? This is in Bigbox btw

    Mame xml

I will try this thanks! I personally think it looks cleaner with 1 version of game and not confuse people playing the arcade. Thanks again!

    Mame xml

Thanks so I did leave everything checked. What I’m finding now is the games that have 2 showing like Burger Time and Bump and Jump have a cassette version also which is causing them to show twice. I can manually delete them but would be nice to have an option to exclude those also so there’s not 2 showing on my Bigbox wheel.

    Mame xml

I finally updated my Mame emulator and rom set from 220 to 261. I used the Mame import from Launchbox and left everything checked. On my wheel I noticed quite a few of the same wheels showing. They are slightly different rom names but the same game. I guess I’m just curious if there is a xml file like hyperspin that filters out more of the fluff like these and the mega touch games etc… I know people would share theirs on Hyperspin just curious if it can be done in Launchbox/Bigbox or could I use a hyperspin xml instead?
  22. Sounds like you got a mess. Most people won’t help knowing you bought a preconfigured drive. My guess is it would take to long to try and explain what to do for every problem you’re probably going to run into like not knowing where your roms/games are. I use an iPac for my cabinet but also use Xbox controllers for some other systems like PlayStation and GameCube. I don’t need any other software this way. If I was you I would honestly start over. Your Launchbox license might not be legit so I would purchase your own. Worse case if it is legit, supporting these guys again is definitely a good thing. Launchbox is so easy to set up now you would be learning the basics starting over. I also use Retroarch a lot to be able to use my Arcade buttons or controllers if I feel like kicking back. Good luck
  23. Ok so I changed the sort title to 1 Arcade and that seems to have done the trick.
  24. I appreciate the help still. I’m wondering if I could edit an xml and make it read only or if changing my platform name for 3D0 to Panasonic would put it down further on the list? I think there’s a couple options but would be nice to have it as an option to start on whatever platform you want. Thanks again for the help!
  25. On a side note if I am on Arcade and go into the settings, when I exit settings I’m back on 3DO as well
