This only works if I have remember last platform checked but then I have to make sure I exit on Arcade everytime. Once I uncheck remember last platform it goes back to 3DO

I’ve wanted to do this as well because 3d0 is first on my wheel it shows first when I launch. I’d have to change the name to Panasonic or in settings check the remember last platform and exit on Arcade everytime or make the file read only. Would be nice to be able to make Arcade the default platform to start on.

Thank you! I’ll give it a try! Seems like if a plug in can support bezels that Bigbox could too? But I know nothing about coding so I leave it to the experts to know best.

I use retroarch now with bezels and everything is good. I saw a post earlier talking about N64 in retroarch playing Mario Kart with graphic issues so I loaded mine up and there are some minor glitches. I then used Ares and it looked better but there isn’t bezel support. Will Launchbox ever support bezels or do I need Rocketlauncher? I’m trying to stay away from that since I left hyperspin. Are my options use retroarch with bezel support but with graphic errors or use a standalone emulator without bezels? On a side note Retroarch is nice using a cab so I can use controllers and my control panel at the same time or change to either one when I want.

I’m having an issue recently where Bigbox freezes. This doesn’t happen a lot but I only had my machine on for about an hour and came back to it and everything was froze. I couldn’t do anything. I was able to unfreeze it by clicking my mouse???

Are you using this theme in a cabinet? I’m using the refried theme for Bigbox in a cabinet and it feels like hyperspin. For me it was all the time spent on renaming files or like you said creating or editing xml files.

I have Hyperspin and Launchbox/Bigbox on my cab. I slowly built up Launchbox while using Hyperspin because I wasn’t sold on Bigbox. It was laggy on the wheel which was my main concern. Now it’s gotten a lot better and I rarely use Hyperspin if at all. Hyperspin does however have more artwork available so it looks a little nicer sometimes but Bigbox will get there I’m sure. The ease of setting up Launchbox makes it worth it. All the media downloaded for you automatically and importing games is super easy. I don’t need third party programs like I did in Hyperspin for stuff like controllers and to just turn the volume up and down. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Good luck!

This is what I do for my cab. I have player 1 button 2 as my back button but I enabled “hold button” to get to the main settings so it doesn’t pop up by accident. Works great on my cab!

I’ve noticed this as well. All my videos work but sometimes my start up video hangs on a black screen with no audio or video until I hit a button which takes me the main wheel. Never have an issue with any other videos so I’m wondering if Bigbox is taking too long to load something else which is causing the video to hang? At least I know it’s not just me.

I just added this system and games. I just added the eboot.bin from the games folder and everything loads fine. If it works outside Launchbox it should work in Launchbox which makes me think you’re calling for the wrong file to be loaded? I’m no expert though

Anyone have advice on naming the txt files? Everything works and I know the emulator is newer but a lot of games are playable. I just don't know about renaming 1000 txt files! Seems like there should be an easier way.

So I read on a thread here to disable game video in the options. This seemed to stop the sound from the game video playing still while entering a game but I need to test it more. On a side note I was also starting to get random freezing in Bigbox that I had to c alt delete to get out of. I will test more tomorrow but hopefully that’s the fix. Sucked starting a game and having to exit it then restart it to get rid of the game video sound!

I don’t know if anything has changed but now when I load a game I can hear the games video from the main wheel playing even when the game is loaded and playing? I have to exit the game and restart it to stop both audio from playing.

Very strange… mine runs fine. I think I’m using the refried theme but never had an issue with lag between key presses. Sometimes the wheels in Bigbox take a half second to load but that’s getting better.

Is this still the way with txt files? I have my roms zipped. Is this even a supported platform in Bigbox? I will be setting it up soon and noticed you have to click start every game and that screen is small. Any way around this?

Is there a setting to have Bigbox start on a random game per platform? Kind of boring always starting on 88 games for Mame everytime lol

I tried deleting and redownloading the theme for Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga: 20th Anniversary but some other theme appears for some Chinese game. I've looked in the downloads but cant find it. I was actually looking for the Ms. Pac-Man speed up hack but don't see that on the wheel but know its there since its on my Hyperspin wheel?

I run the bezel project manually. If you have bezel project you can also just update or enable bezels. Makes it really easy. I use retroarch for most of my emulators for my cab since it makes it easy. Theirs is a few I don’t like Mame though.

Ok I was able to click on the add to platform for light gun games and it’s now showing in Bigbox. 2 questions though 1. The games showing are all Mame games I think with bezels. I’m getting ready to get a lightgun probably aim track and I know those need bezels off. Will this be possible for just those games? 2. How can I add other platforms to this list of lightgun games? Hopefully I won’t have to add each game separately ?

I see under arcade platform there is a bunch of sub categories and one has light gun games listed with some games in it. If I right click it I have the option to add new platform. Is this all in need to do so I have it show up on the wheel in Bigbox? I ask because I don’t want to mess up my arcade platform. I also read I could create a new playlist but just wondering what the best way is? -Thanks
