I am organising my Pinball Games in Big Box. What i would like to have is to have Sub-Categories for Visual Pinball. The Categories should be "70s Pinballs", "80s Pinballs" and "90s Pinballs" etc. I was thinking to choose "Visual Pinball" from the Platform View and then have a new Window where i can choose between the Decades. I don´t want to have these Categories to appear with my other Platforms when i choose from Super Nintendo, Gameboy etc. So the Structure would be like: Playstation Sega Genesis Visual Pinball -----------> 70s Pinballs -----------> 80s Pinballs -----------> 90s Pinballs Is this possible and how to do it?

Thank you very much. Your support helped me a lot. I think i will try it and make a copy of the XAML File first in case i mess it up. so i can paste it again if it doesn´t work anymore. -
How can i delete some informations on the "Games View" Screen

Hello sundogak, thank you so much. I could change the graphic with your help. Now i still need to figure out, how to delete the Infos on the bottom. Does somebody know how i can change the Theme Files to get rid of the Infos which are shown in my screenshot at the bottom on the left side? -
In Big Box i use the Theme "Unified Refried" Please look at the Screenshot below. I painted three white arrows in that Screenshot to show you what i mean. Is there a way that i can delete these Informations, the Graphic of the Controllers and the Image of the CD?? I tried every option in the Themes Menu but couldn´t figure it out. Thanks

Hello Launchbox Fans, I want my Light Gun Games shown in Big Box on a separate Plattform next to my other Systems like Playstation 1, Super Nintendo etc, when i scroll through the Wheel and have a own Plattform only for my Light Gun Games. Just exactly like in this Video. Please check the 23 Second Mark. How can i do this? Yesterday i created a new Plattform calles "Light Gun Games" but it doesn´t show it in Launchbox. Like it has never been created which was very odd. How can i create a separate Plattform called "Light Gun Games"? How can i link my Light Gun Games from other Systems to be shown under this Plattform? For example: I have the Game Point Blank already which i can choose when i click my Playstation 1 System. I want this Game now also be shown under the Plattform "Light Gun Games". How can i link it? Thank you

So the XML File has stored the lists of the Platforms, the Games and which Image belongs to which Game if i understood correctly. I was wondering because i had the following situation: For example Purpose: 1. I saved 20 Games and 20 Clear Logo Images in my Folders. 2. I imported all the 20 Games 3. Launchbox only Displayed 12 Images. 4. I copied and paste the XML File into the Data Folder. The XML File was created by the original creator of these 20 Games and 20 Images and came with the Games and Images. 5. Launchbox then Displayed every 20 Images in my Overview. I was wondering why Launchbox didn´t displayed the Images already correctly without the XML File.

Hello Everybody, what is the purpose of the XML File? What happens when i delete an existing XML File? Pretty simple questions. I have found out, that this File seems to be important but i didn´t find out what this File is doing. Thanks

Cannonball Outrun Retroarch and Launchbox Quick Guide
TJ_on_Launchbox replied to Lordmonkus's topic in Emulation
Here is how i got it to work: 1. Download the Cannonball Core in the Retroarch Programme 2. Create a Folder whereever you like or you put your Games in 3. You need the zipped Outrun Rom which is used for MAME 4. Unzip the Outrun Rom in your created Folder 5. Copy a file inside this created Folder where your unzipped Outrun roms are. It doesn´t matter what file. You can theoretically take a Word Document, an Excel Document, a txt file etc. You can copy paste every file you want. 6. Rename this file to cannonball.game 7. In Launchbox you click Tools, Manage Emulators 8. Double click Retroarch 9. choose the Tab Associated Platforms 10. Scroll Down to the Bottom and write in the empty cell Cannonball 11. In the cell next to it under Cores you choose the file cannonball_libreto. You can find this file in your Folder Cores which is inside your Retroarch Folder 12. Click in the little square to make it as default Emulator 13. Click on Tools, Import, Roms 14. Choose the dummy file you created Cannonball.game 15. In the Window "What Platform are you importing Games for", write Cannonball 16. In the Window "Choose an Emulator", choose Retroarch in the Drop Down Menu 17. Then finish the Import 18. The Game should work start with this Set up -

There are many library files, scripts and texts (fpl, rtf, txt, vbs, ini) For example the Table "back_to_the_future_ultra-table_1_02_ultra_zedpinball_physics_1_0" It has the *ftp file plus 6 other files including a Zip File with loads of other Files in it (BMP, JPG, MODELS, SHADERS etc) And my second question is: Most of the Tables have several Tables. Which one should i import to Launchbox? For example "Attack from Mars" is 9 times there with different versions. and Austin Powers has two Versions.
-
How do i mass Import these Tables to Launchbox? When i click Import and select the files yo have uploaded then it also imports all the scripts and fonts which are in the files with the Tables. Is there an easy way of importing all the Tables at once and ONLY the Tables? Thanks

I just want to thank you Lou Silver. This Post from you is just outstanding and a huge help for everybody who wants to play Pinball Games. I am very new to Retro Gaming. Especially interested in Pinball and Light Gun Games. With all your help i managed to load some Pinball Games in my Launchbox. Some things are still unclear but i think i will also manage this in the next Days. So once again thank you very much for everything.
