  1. give my channel a shot. It's almost exclusively covers setting up sinden lightgun on different setups. "Tks Sitch Gaming" on youtube
  2. Actually, have another question that goes to the save state, this would be for use on regular mame arcade games. How would i use it from a command-line to boot into a mame starting at a save state? Thanks!
  3. you can right-click and 'expand' the roms, for roms with different versions. Those will populate as a separate game (just edit metadata, and addon to the name so you know which one is which, for example if you have tmnt 2p and tmnt 4p, you can just add 2p or 4p to the name) do that for any games you want the 'Additional app' for. Then proceed to the steps the will export those to another folder.
  4. This worked Thanks! I used this for sms as well without a hitch.
  5. awesome thanks alot for responding. I'll give it a go when i can and report back. Thanks!
  6. As, title says. I know Mame isn't the best for console emulation, but I have specific purpose for using mame. I when I [Tab] into in-game menu, the changes are saved on a system basis [nes]. I'm looking to save them (if possible) on a per game as you can the regular arcade. Thanks, all feedback appreciated.
  7. I run my demul for Naomi and other systems listed in this pic. Just put these in your edit emulator configurations and should be good. Pay attention to the spaces in default command line parameters by the associated platforms, and check the needed boxes in the emulator details. just match location to your demul emulator application path, and that should get you settled.
  8. Here is a link to my mega folder. Just drop the files from the folder into the artwork folder in the root of mame. Pull the files from the folders and place them there, not the folder themselves. Also, be sure you have bezels turned on for mame, you may have to hit tab and go to the video menu and turn those on. Also may need to set the video mode per game for the bezel to come up, since mame may not automatically default to have them on. Hope this helps. mega.nz/fm/5bFjXBgR
  9. shot in the dark here but worked on one of my themes so may help with yours. Try setting the image you want to background-fan artwork. I found easiest way to do that is to go into regular launchbox, go to your game or magazine in your case. Right click to edit-metadata, scroll down the left-hand column til you find media>images. Then you can just drag and drop the picture into the menu, and it will populate, there should be a pull-down bar somewhere, and it would say something like boxes or front cover. Click on it and pulldown to background, then you should see more options and pick the fanart one. No guarantees that will work, but if you haven't tried that yet, wouldn't hurt.
  10. Easiest way to update to new mame while keeping your settings (controller input files, ect...) is just move over these folders 📂 Cfg Ctrlr Artwork (if your using bezels) Ini Nvram And your Mame.ini file All those will be in root of your mame folder, basically drag and drop those into your new mame and click replace files. Far as launchbox goes just goto edit emulator and in the mame, just point to the new mame.exe
  11. Same here, I get the message when I try to open Bigbox from Launchbox Ui. If I open Bigbox directly from the Bigbox.exe though I do not receive the error. It's weird.
  12. I would just download an entire new set and delete your old set. It can get messy updating the roms. Unless there is specific reason you want to update to 0.267, I wouldn't do it. From the notes from Mame, it doesn't look like anything big has been changed from the last set.
  13. I have a related issue maybe @JoeViking245 or someone else can provide a solution. When using Bigbox while running background music, is there a way to have the background music shuffle to a new song, when exiting a game, instead of having Bigbox just start the music from where the song was cutoff when starting a game? Thanks!
  14. seems like those games were configured using X-input controls (xbox and xbox style controls). Most arcade config is read as D-Input. You may need to use a 3rd party app for your arcade. x360ce is a popular one to use in this case too. Not sure if it will work, since it's been awhile since i messed with it myself. try it. At worse it still won't work lol. good luck
  15. No problem. I've recently done what your doing. So it threw me off at 1st as well
  16. you can safely delete those if that is what you wanted to do. Non-Merge the only clean way to go about it. Reason you get the additional apps message, is because Launchbox views those other version as "addition apps". So you would only delete those roms you selected to delete. When you right-click on the game and "Edit Metadata", you will see the additional apps on the left column, which contains the other versions of those games. Hope that helps clarify why Launchbox put up the additional apps message.
  17. Yeah, it's been up for awhile. Just search pleasuredome and github. I just checked it. Still there.
  18. Pleasuredome only provides the latest romsets. They do have older ones, but those are mostly for the lower end units, such low power pc, or raspberry pi style boards. I wouldn't worry about trying to update your roms. Just download the newest and match it with the new mame build.
  19. Sinden doesn't work well with plug n play setups unless it's from a Batocera build, which Batocera natively will be the closest to plug n play you will get. Not the most optimal but good for a beginner to play some games. (Just need to get your own roms to add on to it). Your drive is tied with however it came when you bought it. Those scripts are tied to each emulator and if it's goes into Teknoparrot or American Laser Games those scripts are tied to, you will break your setup. Rule of thumb, when buying a prebuilt hard drive, don't mess with it, use it as intended. To your actual question, i run 3 instances of Launchbox (One for Main use, LG Setup and testing/misc use) Just have to rename your root launchbox folder something different than your Regular Launchbox folder (e.g. Launchbox LG). Also if you proceed to do what you suggested, create a backup folder for all your files in your paid drive. If case you do mess something up and can't reverse the issues, you can delete and start again with the backup folder. Good luck.
  20. Have you tried just running your roms on the actual Mame emulator without running it through Launchbox?
  21. Late to the party here, but if you're using Retroarch to run your emulators, retroarch can auto set your refresh to 30hz inside retroarch. You would need to change that inside retroarch configs, because that is an issue with my TV, I've had multiple times running builds from a Batocera and Launchbox setup. If you're not Using retroarch to run your emulators then I dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  22. Set your additional app for Sega M2 this way (not in the picture, but what I'm going to tell you) application Name =DemulShooter (name means nothing just keeps things cleaner) Application Path = c:\DemulShooter\demulshooter.exe (Use the demulshooter .exe file, app path is just wherever you keep your Demulshooter not your bat. the reason for the add'l app here is to launch demulshooter along with your game) VERY IMPORTANT STEP!!!! Application command line parameter= -target=model2 -rom=ROMNAME (if it's House of the Dead the replace ROMNAME with hotd) check your box as seen in the picture. Do this for all your games (I think for shooting there is only 6 roms) Also, you need to edit your running script in your emulator settings so Demul will properly close, or it won't shutdown. You'll need to go to "Running script and add this between the existing brackets Process, Close, DemulShooter.exe If you don't do that then demul may close when you open the game. Hope that helps or get you on the right path at least.
