  1. If you've done it properly, now you must have numerous zip files in your main MAME "Artwork" folder. Please check it, first is 3countb.zip, last is zzyzzyxx.zip. Everything should work.
  2. Automatic batch graphic editing will give very bad results and would kill the magic of the reflections. With a few rare exceptions, I mainly only update the code for lay files and do not want to to touch Mr. Retrolust's tremendous graphic work.
  3. Only MAME and derivative builds, not the butchered version that comes with RA.
  4. A few years ago, Hydranger from MameWorld forums published some 16:10 bezels. I have updated the lay files to the new artwork system but have not yet made those public. Here's the original link : https://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=artwork2&Number=366961
  5. Nice try. I would like to mention that I downloaded a sample to see what a home-made adaptation for MAME could give (I wouldn't use retroarch for anything in the world). So, that's almost perfect for the horizontal screens. Nevertheless the proportions of some vertical ones are particularly distorted... In some cases you should avoid stretching 'em to that point (e.g.: 1942, all of the Taito Egret II). Those screens were 3:4 ratio only, bro! I understand that this is a first attempt and it is promising. Keep up the good work!
  6. Unzip all LightsOutRevisited0-Z archives in MAME/ARTWORK/ Put horizontal and vertical INIs in MAME/INI/PRESETS/
  7. Glad you like it. If you have any questions about the lay, don't hesitate to contact me via PM.
  8. Just noticed that the cockpit view was not really widescreen. I quickly fixed that. So here it is with 2 cockpit + 2 upright views in 16:9 widescreen. aburner2-Update2.zip
  9. Well done ! I took the liberty of updating the files to the new artwork system. Here it is, including cockpit + 2 upright views. -Edit: please see next post-
  10. Mr. RetroLust's MAME Lights Out Bezels Revisited View File Mr. RetroLust created a series of bezels which is a masterpiece: Yet as he uses a rather old version of MAME, some of those bezels are not compatible with the latest releases which use a redisigned artwork system (MAME 0.226 onwards). as I intend to continue to enjoy his creations in optimal conditions, I have undertaken to update all the lay files and to correct recent incompatibilities. You will find here the integrality of this collection updated to the most recent artwork system. Based on the version 5.4 of its collection: I updated/edited all the lay files (but one*). Renamed some archives to respect romnames of latest MAME release (0.260 at the time of this writing). Merged some bezels in a zip file to remove any conflict with the classic artworks of Mr. Do. Replaced most of the screen overlays based on pics with lay-coded ones according to the latest MAME sources (ex: Circus). Added some color variations (ex: Barricade) Corrected some MAME atwork system known bugs (ex: Dead Eye). Added a toggable gear shift view for racing games when possible (ex: Pole Position). Added generic horizontal and vertical bezels to use as fallback artworks for every game missing individual art file. If you spot a bug, or a game I forgot to add a gear shift, please indicate it in the comments, I will rectify it ASAP. *: For the moment I have not managed to update 'Golly! Ghost!' efficiently, the version included here is the original version of Mr. Retrolust and does not work with the new lay system. It is essential to use the included horizontal.ini and vertical.ini files to make the generic bezels work. The vector.ini and the vector-mono.ini are highly recommended but not essential. The raster.ini is only to be used if you use the D3D HLSL graphics mode. For my part I use BGFX for the rasters and the fantastic ArcCabView shader from Houb: Highly Recommended! https://www.mediafire.com/file/71eylbzx8oom5ji/ArcCabView_MAME_BGFX_Chain_2.2d.7z/file All hail to Mr. RetroLust , he deserves all the credit. ************************************************************************************************************* If you found this release useful, you might like this post where I published an update of Dreamstate's beautiful vertical artworks: - Be sure to click on 'November 8' => Submitter kloug666 Submitted 11/29/2022 Category Platform Bezels/Overlays

  12. A big thank you for this beautiful collection. The subtle effects create an extraordinary atmosphere, I feel like I'm back in the late 80ies 😁 I just spent two week updating the lay files to the new artwork system (MAME 0.226 onwards) because some of them became incompatible with it (especially files with screen overlays). If you wish I can send you a private link so that you can publish them by yourself or if not, would you allow me to share this work here and/or at Mameworld please?
  13. I too have a special nostalgia for the old Zaccaria cabs. Those were bootlegs with top-notch art 😊 The care you put into making these artworks is impressive, thank you again. Here is a big package with all your updated artworks and a tiny one including only Missile Command and Tempest with illuminated push-buttons, compatible with the older version of MAME you use. in case it could be useful to you, you can always find the latest versions of MAME compiled in 32 bit at the bottom of this repository => https://www.progettosnaps.net/MAME/ 336011494_MissileCommandTempest-FixedPre_0.226.7z Dreamstate-Vertical-Artworks-MAME_0.250.7z
