  1. I'm getting scrolling lag on Arcade/MAME. 1-3 seconds between each game lag. The other systems? They work fine.
  2. Keep getting stuck at: "Searching EmuMovies for Arcade media.." I am having to update bits and pieces at a time in the hopes that it works, so I will select 2-3 items at a time(lets say Banner, Box 3D, and Arcade - Cabinet) and update the Metadata that way. If I do too much at once it usually ends up hanging on a file. Now this morning, I'm simply getting stuck at the aforementioned after a few successful scrapes of EmuMovies. I was thinking of getting an EmuMovies membership as I just purchased the lifetime LaunchBox one, but not if this is how it runs.
  3. When I first started trying out games in LaunchBox I was getting 30fps, and I had to change the resolution through Windows down to 1080p and therefore with that resolution it showed 60Hz(fps) besides it. I selected that and now I get the 60fps for each game. I don't have a video card, but just enough with the cpu/gpu to run everything fine. All you really need is 1080 for most.
  4. I initially got stuck when downloading metadata from EmuMovies I believe. It got stuck at "Player's Edge Plus Screenshot - Game Title" the first time and I waited about 15 minutes, tried to hit cancel and eventually had to End Task. After that I restarted LaunchBox again and it started downloading where it left off. Eventually it got to the same exact file name, "Player's Edge Plus Screenshot -Game Title," but this time as it is stuck where it lists filenames, it's still downloading other files as the numbers are changing...just not the names anymore. Not sure if there is some issue at emumovies with that particular file or not. Edit: This morning it has hung again on the file "Showdown - 3D." Once again it is after searching the Emumovies database. Apparantly there is some problem occurring between launchbox and emumovies involving metadata.
  5. That cabinet looks like its coming along nicely!
  6. Glad I saw this as it is what I did: From SchneakyPete: Hey sorry probably too late to help you, but I've just gone through this process for myself. I found that the better way to do this is to scan the the ROMS into Launchbox BEFORE you copy the CHD folders into the ROM directory. That avoids the duplicates in Launchbox and the games all still work fine if you copy the CHDs over after the import (because it's MAME that looks for the CHDs, not Launchbox). I simply imported the MAME ROMS in .zip only. The CHD files are in a separate folder. I will simply move each CHD folder into the main ROMS directory afterwards.
  7. NTFS it is then. Thankyou for getting back to me.
  8. I have a 2TB External SSD that is exFAT. I would only be putting MAME and maybe Virtual Pinball machines on that disk. Will I be running into any sort of trouble doing this? I see a few issues on some posts about themes and exFAT. That is why I'm asking. If so, I'll just convert the filesystem to NTFS. Rather find out now then later.😅
  9. Well I have tried ePSXe, Duckstation, and now Libretro Swanstation. Each give me the same issue: PS BIOS comes up with Playstation logo, Williams logo loads up, then I get the small "Loading...". This is where I'm stuck. My .cue file is Doom.cue. I have 8 .bin files named: Doom (USA) (Track1)....through Doom (USA) (Track8). I have opened up the .cue file in Notepad++ and I don't see anything named incorrectly. The only fix that I have seen after scouring the Internet for the past 2 hours is a somewhat vague solution post where you rename your .bin files....: Doom and Final doom use relative paths to play music files. Game hangs to the [ LOADING… ] screen due to a bad file naming. Make sure your .bin files are named exactly like this : PSXDOOM.bin or PSXFINALDOOM.bin , otherwise game wouldn’t find the path to the intro music it’s supposed to play after the loading screen (PSXDOOM\CDAUDIO\DOOMMAIN.RAW). As I said that explanation/solution is confusing to me. I see 8 bin files..am I supposed to rename them all? Anyone get this to work? BTW, I get the exact same thing with Final Doom for Playstation. It gets stuck on the "Loading..." part as well. Edit: I saw a possible solution saying to only copy .cue files into to Games directory for the specific system. Edit#2: So I started up Duckstation manually from its folder, I went to the Doom game in the list, Right-Clicked "Full Boot" and it loaded up properly...
  10. Thx for the info, and confirmation that it works.
  11. This is one aspect of Launchbox that I really like Metadata wise and prefer it this way.
  12. Hello all! Yesterday I installed and used Launchbox for the first time and I absolutely love it. Better than Retropie, Recalbox, Gameex, etc. imo. Just about migrated everything over from GameEx. As certain Romsets MAME wise are very big...could I run that exclusively off of an External SSD via a USB 3.0 interface? Say Launchbox is on E: drive(Separate from OS drive of course) with other emulators(including MAME). Then I would have MAME ROMS/CHD's on External drive. HTPC is i5-8400 CPU, 16GB RAM, No video card using UHD Intel 630 graphics, which gave me an issue btw. I had to lower resolution to 1920x1080 in order to select 60HZ. Fixed the 30fps issue that way.
