  1. Yep, if you fiddle around with the search field you can find the right match while never having to alter the rom name itself.
  2. Great Addon, thank you. Is there any way we could get a "Select All" or "Remove All" button? It's a tiny addition that could save a ton of time in some cases.
  3. I am not sure if you knew that or tried it already, but after the games are imported (and not recognized by the LB database) you can then temporarily change the search name when looking them up in the LB database, so just put the new names in there, once you found the match in the LB database you accept it, download the arts, then you can revert the game name to whatever you want, while never having to touch the rom name itself.
  4. Cool, thank you for the answer.
  5. I would absolutely LOVE to see auditing on android as well, it'd be useful in a ton of situations. Mobile cpus/gpus have come a long way and if this was a performance issue that prevented us from having this tool in the first place, it'd be great to still see this as an option for those of us with good specs.
  6. I am actually curious myself about the location of those platform artwork. I know I can import them in the app but for the sake of organization (and curiosity), I'd like to know where they are stored locally (I have root so no problem accessing data folder but I couldn't find them).
  7. Would it be feasible to have the "All Games" categories in each platform (computers, consoles, handheld, etc...) and on the overall main menu show the corresponding total number of games, much like each platform currently does? Possibly for the genre categories too? I think that'd be pretty neat.
  8. Yes, of course! Thanks for taking it in stride!
  9. While my personal use of frontend apps makes me know from experience that any launcher app is incompatible with Dex, it doesn't mean that Dex is the only one of its kind (or possibly even other kinds) that gets broken by launchers. The dev in that thread used "it breaks some setups" in general, they did not refer to Dex in particular. Several other phone and tablets manufacturers have developed launchers of their own to output their device's screen on a TV or monitor without stretching or any black bar, and with other features to boot. Those are probably also broken by the launcher feature since as far as I know they sort of work as launchers of their own and that is what makes them incompatible with other launcher apps. I was the only one referring to Dex because that's the one I know since it is affecting me.
  10. @Jason Carr Thank you for your reply. You are right, the "download missing media" option, if used offline at least, will rescan the local folders and repopulate the xml with it. Because of its name referring only to "download" I thought it would only download from the launchbox database what it had already deemed missing without checking/scraping those local folders again (a very minute suggestion, but maybe adding something to its name would convey that it does more than just download, but that it also rescans locally) Just to let you know however, but the scraper when using "import games" DOES indeed pick up images from the file system in some of the categories, 3 out of the 5 image categories to be exact. It does pick up images for "Box Image", "Clear Logo Image" and "Background Image", it's just missing them entirely in the "Game title screenshot image" and "Gameplay screenshot image" categories.
  11. Op, check out this topic: Reasons there explain why it is not implemented. It breaks some setups and the fact that Launchbox isn't considered a Launcher is personally the main reason why I bought Launchbox over its competitors.
  12. OP, back away to the very first main screen, there is an "all games" filter there that will help you. Also, once you pick that and go to the game list, you can still open the genre filter from the top menu. Filters is one of the best features of Launchbox compared to its competitors IMHO.
  13. OP, try an app called "rotation control", it forces orientation changes even on apps or setups that would refuse it, and it doesn’t require root.
  14. I hate to be THAT guy but please don't make Launchbox android a home launcher... I tested a bunch of frontends (basically all of the ones available on Android) and I bought and settled on Launchbox not only for its filters abilities but mainly for the fact that it wasn't a home launcher and that because of that it was compatible with Samsung Dex (Samsung Dex is used to output video to a TV, a huge feature for emulation). Samsung dex is a launcher on its own and is entirely incompatible with any app that serves as a launcher. Quite a few android frontends are incompatible with it because of it and it sucks a lot for Samsung users. Please keep Launchbox not as a home launcher in the future so it keeps being compatible with Dex. Sorry about this post OP but that feature would completely break Launchbox for me. To the OP or anyone interested in that feature, there are some apps on the playstore that do not require root and can open any app you select as soon as the phone or tablet is booted. It's not entirely the same as being a home launcher but it's halfway there.
  15. I would just like to report on this, the Picodrive core is not allowed as a preset for Game Gear emulation despite being perfectly capable of it.
  16. I know it's been nearly three years since the OP, but I'd like to second the request for this feature as it would be VERY useful for us folks using a single SD card and it seems relatively easy to implement. Please add this.
  17. Assuming the arts are properly named and placed in the appropriately named folders, the scrapper can pick up corresponding game arts (and even videos) in all but 2 categories. For some reason it doesn't pick it up in the "Game title screenshot image" and "Gameplay screenshot image" categories. For example, say I have a rom called "Asteroids" and the corresponding arts in "Box image", "Clear Logo Image", "Game title screenshot image", "Gameplay screenshot image", "Background image" and "Video"; all those categories will get picked up by the scrapper if I add a games folder, except the two categories "Game title screenshot image" and "Gameplay screenshot image". Could this possibly be fixed so it picks those two categories up as well?
  18. Is it a planned update to allow importing of the video snaps by parsing them from a folder? If so, what's the priority on this feature? In the meantime, do you need a windows license to do this import process from the pc? What exactly needs to be created on the pc to feed the android version so that it will find the video snaps?
