  1. I know its hard to produce useful comments. But something other then cant find a file would be useful. Like what file were you searching for? What path were you passed that you could not locate. The others can use genesis_plus_gx_wide_libreto.dll It works if I use the default genesis_plus_gx_wide_libreto.dll. Just the image is messed up. So something I am doing wrong in the custom param but the log isnt helping debug it.
  2. I found it depends on the platform. Some platforms zipped files can save some space for more roms. I think it was xbox I tried zipped vs non zipped and there was around 120GB of space savings (for a large collection). The tradeoff is the time it takes to unzip. Then there are some like nintendo switch where very few games offer any savings at all zipped vs unzipped.
  3. Having some issues with Space Ace. I have gotten most of all the other games working. Is this a BIOS issue? here is what is in my frame file ace.txt . 2 ace.m2v Here is the error I get

  5. I'm not a huge fan of technoparrot. I am able to close all games after mapping the close window button. That does seem to work for me. But sometimes launchbox will crash on exit. So you need to go back to the PC and close the debug window then things work again. So its kind of a PITA. Not a big fan of anything launching .exe files in general. The exe is suspect from a security standpoint. TechnoParrot forum is pretty much closed to new comers. So you can't even evaluate a rom or get a hash of a good file. Just seems a bit more sketchy to me for games that are not all that great and available on other platforms. I've debating dumping it myself. I do not have anything special in my config I have a fairly recent version of technoparrot. I have the following in the running script section. $Esc:: { WinClose, ahk_exe {{{StartupEXE}}} } Seems like teknoparrot is thinking about the security part with "verify game" but none of the games have a clean hash list yet. So maybe one day...............
  6. Glad to know I'm not the only one with this issue. I guess I'll hold off upgrading to 13.20. Not sure how they were not able to duplicate. Its fairly simple to replicate. Just use a mapped drive. I can set up a brand new VM with a single platform and hit the issue. Heck if the admin folks need a machine this is replicated on. I could set a VM just for this debug they could RDP into and poke around and change whatever they want. Ping me via IM if this something you might be interested in.
  7. looks like I need to select the "back" button xbox 360 controller to switch between mouse mode and joystick mode. It works for most games not all.
  8. I can get Artari ST to work in retroarch using the hatari core. I can even get the fire button to work in some games. But I can not get the controller to work i.e. up/down/left/right. I can get the controller to work when its acting like a mouse in the OS. But in game doesnt seem to recognize the controller input Any suggestions? I "think" joystick 0 overides the keyboard.   9. What art is the grey box? And then to get a video of the game play? Is there a tutorial on what the different art pieces are and how they get used?

  11. Switching the pedal to the trigger was nice Is there a way to make the steering less sensitive for racing games. Slight push on the stick wheels go all the way to the direction you are pushing. And for force feedback do you need an additional plugin to make that work? I am using an xbox 360 controller series S I think *edit* so here is what I did that seems to work. I change the saturation point based on the game in the supermodel.ini file. The game name needs to match the filename that you are launching. Now you can drive like you arent on crack.   12. Thats Awesome. So would I keep the folder with the old rom set still? Or can it be deleted afterwards? I was wanting to clean up the drive and not keep duplicates.

  14. How do I get the wheel to update the games? Instead of just standard text. Is this potentially a case of nothing existing? Or is there something I extra I need to do to get it to update? I already went here and did an update

  16. Unfortunately Launchbox doesnt rollback cleanly. My importation of MAME sets is broken in 13.18 after upgrading to 13.19 and then rolling back to 13.18. Also unless you kept 13.18 sitting around you would be kinda stuck as its no longer available.
  17. Software releases are tough and we know they are working hard. Dont want to discourage the progress. There are a zillion different configurations and its really hard to test them all. Communication is key to success.
  18. Seems to be a lot of issue with 13.19. Probably should have been a Beta release for those that want to be testers. This is the error I get if I try to open BigBox. Something to think about for your next "big" release. Keep pushing the improvements but maybe communicate with a beta release that a lot of it is untested. I think most folks know what Beta means.
  19. Where do I set it in BigBox? Ther is a keyboard automation that say "close app" but that doesnt let me set the controller. Under Controller mappings there is an "exit" which closes bigbox entirely. I'm not seeing it in an easy to locate place. *edit* found it If I use different controller.......I.e. xbox controller then n64 controller can I set this per controller?
  20. I have an older version of MAME full set I installed. Version .228 and used LB importer to import it. I recently download the MAME 0.274 merged full set. Just the ROMs I didnt grab the CHDs. CHDs I think was 1.0TB I dont know if there is that many good games to justify downloading 1TB to end up throwing out 80% of it. Anyway I'd just like to move to the newer version. What is the best way to go about doing that?
  21. yea bigbox doesnt exit correctly for me either. Works perfectly in launchbox but bigbox seems to want to ignore the command. Old thread but still seems to be an issue. You would think if you set something in launchbox that bigbox would consume it.
  22. Manuals I am not finding using the tools provided by launchbox for a lot of games. They are easily locatable online. Is there a way to point launchbox somewhere else? gamesdatabase.org has most all the manuals easily attainable.

  23. I run launchbox from a NAS Z:/roms and Y:/launchbox. The "roms" and "emulators" reside on a 20TB HDD. Launchbox itself is also installed on a separate NVME drive on the NAS. With a 2.5GB connection between the server and host. So the client really is just links to the program residing on the NAS. Both attached storage devices are up and running before launching Launchbox. I can browse to the directories with explorer just fine. If I run 13.9 network links are broken Here is what it looks like when I try and import a rom with 13.19. Same exact import with 13.18 So I tried to install 13.9 but had to roll back to 13.8 so likely when it rolled back it didnt clean up 13.9 remnants. My plugins

  25. ok today launchbox just went stupid slow. Like its been 20 min and its still spinning trying to start. It's loaded up 2GB in ram but still just spinning. Like its waiting for something it doesn't have access to and there is no timeout. Is there a way to turn on the launchbox debugger from a file? Because I cant even access the GUI.
