  1. Okay, good to know. I'm wondering then if maybe either the previous update didn't install properly, or if maybe there are somehow issues with file permissions. The first thing I would try is running that same installer over again, and installing over the top of your D:\LaunchBox folder. Make sure when you run it that you select the D:\LaunchBox folder, and not D:\LaunchBox\LaunchBox, as the installer will automatically append LaunchBox after browsing for the folder. Make sure the installer completes successfully of course.
  2. Also, can you try running the 9.2 installer and installing to a new folder? I need to know if a brand new install works. You can keep the existing install the way it is in the mean time and just install to a new folder. You should be able to find the 9.2 setup file under D:\LaunchBox\Updates.
  3. Okay, thanks. What version of LaunchBox did you upgrade from?
  4. Hi lopez, what does the .NET Runtime error show that's beneath that selected line in the screenshot? Also, what version of LaunchBox did you upgrade from?
  5. Ah, yes. It spins the wheel in Big Box while the button is held. That's already implemented. Is that what you're referring to @RULLUR?
  6. Can you explain your specific monitor configuration? Screenshot me this screen if you can: Also, I need to know the resolution and DPI scaling setting for each monitor. I tested this like crazy in what I thought was every possible configuration before the 9.2 release and thought I fixed all the issues. It could just be differing video card drivers though. Are you running AMD or nVidia?
  7. What poll are you referring to? I don't think a random game button was on the last poll: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-V9D22LCH8/ We can certainly put it on the next one though.
  8. @Mr. RetroLust Are you on Windows 10 or Windows 7?
  9. Alright, I think I have this figured out. I'll put out a beta here soon with the fix.
  10. Ah, I see. Okay, that makes more sense. I'll see what I can figure out.
  11. It may; I have thought about it. We can probably put something like that on the next poll.
  12. I see; okay. I'm testing with your data and I haven't been able to replicate the error yet. Does it happen with every game? What specific games is it happening on?
  13. Interesting. I fixed a number of screen placement issues for this release, so please try removing all the custom stuff to see if it just works now with the marquee screen. It is possible that I still have some things to fix on the marquee screen, but I thought I caught everything and I didn't run into any issues in my testing two different monitors with different resolutions and DPIs.
  14. @Niko78 This does look to be an error related to the new update and the startup screens, though I'm not sure exactly what's happening. You can try turning off startup screens under Tools > Options > Game Startup to see if that fixes the error for the time being. Also, if you'd be willing to zip up and PM me your LaunchBox\Data folder that would help for me to identify the error.
  15. Yes, the themes allow for some very advanced logic in this regard. Unified Redux does something similar already with playlists and parent platforms, but doesn't take it to a game level. But it is certainly possible, and if you use plugins, then the possibilities are pretty much endless.
  16. That's odd. We do some processing that hides the cursor (of course) but nothing that should change it. It could be some kind of odd incompatibility between that X-Mouse program and the Win32 API calls we're using, I suppose. I would reboot and see if it happens again, and then try and narrow it down by disabling mouse hiding in LaunchBox or disabling X-Mouse Button Control. Right now no, but honestly that would be easy to add so I can certainly do that. I can probably add it before the next release. That is a good point.
  17. I believe @RetroHumanoid will be coming out with a theme soon that does this. So it should be easy to tweak his once it's out.
  18. Ah, I figured you needed it to divide up the MAME zip files or something. You do have to be careful when moving MAME files around because of the dependencies.
  19. No worries. The official release just went live.
  20. Unfortunately it will still use the startup screens for this. We'll have to wait for a future release to address that. Edit: I don't see why that method should be necessary anyways since you can just set the system to use that PDF reader by default.
  21. I will be releasing shortly. I added in some logic for additional apps; additional apps will only use the startup screen now if they use an emulator, use DOSBox, use Steam, or have an EXE file extension. All other additional apps (such as PDF documents) will not use the startup screen. Hopefully that'll prove to be a solution.
  22. Lol. Actually, that was not the original intended purpose of additional apps. The launch with features were added later on. Zom is correct; additional apps are meant to be used for whatever you need them for.
  23. Every Windows/Steam game is different, so the startup screens are not guaranteed to work perfectly for every game. You may also have to tweak the startup screen settings for each game to get the best results. You may have to increase the startup delay, for example, or check the box to hide all exclusive non-fullscreen windows. Most games I am able to get working just fine, but sometimes it does take some tweaks, and the game will need to be already downloaded and installed, of course. That is legit looking awesome. Love it!
  24. Please, for everyone's sake, do your best not to make sweeping negative generalizations/assumptions. I'm sorry I didn't respond to each and every post you made in this thread. I am one guy after all. Nothing is changed, clearly. In fact, that's the problem you're bringing up. It's that I haven't added another new feature, not that something changed. You can always disable the startup screens and use LaunchBox and Big Box exactly as they were before. Regardless, I will look into the additional app thing, perhaps to automatically not use the startup screens for documents, maybe. That seems like the best solution to me here. It may or may not make it into today's release, however.
  25. Yes, you can put a background image in that matches the title of the playlist under LaunchBox\Themes\Unified Redux\Images\Playlists\Device. You can always attach a video in LaunchBox too, of course.
