  1. That would be great. Thank you @alexposad. You can read the first few posts of this topic for instructions on how to get started.
  2. The easiest way to do this (which is really pretty easy) is just to select all your games and batch edit them to force the startup screen off. Then you can enable it for the games that you want. I might have considered adding this option earlier in the development process, but at this point I probably won't be restructuring it. It makes more sense to do it on the emulator level since how it works largely depends on the emulator/launching method and not the platform.
  3. It looks like @t17fenics offered to translate into Russian way back in 2016, but it doesn't look like we ever heard back, so we are in need of a Russian translator.
  4. If you turn off the startup screen option, then 9.2 behaves exactly the same when launching games as previous versions did. So if you're having MAME focus issues with the startup screen turned off, then most likely it's unrelated to the new version.
  5. Hi Larry, this is very cool. I am slightly concerned with copyrights though if you plan to upload it here to the forums; we generally don't distribute manuals to avoid any kind of legal issues from that front. As far as the images, I think if you were to make the distribution method a torrent, then I'd just leave the full-size images in there. In the emulation world, 8 gigs really isn't all that big. But that's just my two cents.
  6. Yeah, the error is likely to be completely random. I have it fixed already, but I haven't put out the beta that fixes it yet.
  7. Awesome.
  8. If you have startup screens completely turned off in LaunchBox or Big Box, then they're off, period. If you want to enable them only for PC games, you'll have to enable them in LaunchBox and/or Big Box and then configure them either on an emulator or game basis. You can use the batch edit stuff to turn them on and off for each game. Or, just disable them for all your emulators.
  9. The new LaunchBox startup screens actually don't work in windowed mode; they work with fullscreen modes, including exclusive fullscreen.
  10. @lokham I can reproduce this, so I'll get it fixed here soon. Thanks for the report.
  11. Okay, I'll add it to my list to look into it. I assume you've tried playing with all the game startup emulator settings? You can just disable it for that emulator for now if it's not working yet.
  12. You can batch edit all the games in a platform if you're looking to change it on a platform level.
  13. I see. I know we've had requests both for that and for a keyboard shortcut, but we've had slightly more requests for the latter, so I'll probably go that route.
  14. We'll need more details in order to help. Have you tried all the settings in the emulator's Game Startup tab?
  15. This thread is almost three years old. We don't currently have anything in the works to integrate any other scrapers. Now that the LaunchBox Games Database is so well populated, it doesn't seem to be a priority to users, as I only very rarely hear a request about it.
  16. So just delete the D:\LaunchBox\LaunchBox folder and run the installer again, and this time install to D:\LaunchBox.
  17. It looks like you fell prey to exactly what I asked you to be careful about above. You installed it into D:\LaunchBox\LaunchBox instead of D:\LaunchBox.
  18. Okay, good to know. I'm wondering then if maybe either the previous update didn't install properly, or if maybe there are somehow issues with file permissions. The first thing I would try is running that same installer over again, and installing over the top of your D:\LaunchBox folder. Make sure when you run it that you select the D:\LaunchBox folder, and not D:\LaunchBox\LaunchBox, as the installer will automatically append LaunchBox after browsing for the folder. Make sure the installer completes successfully of course.
  19. Also, can you try running the 9.2 installer and installing to a new folder? I need to know if a brand new install works. You can keep the existing install the way it is in the mean time and just install to a new folder. You should be able to find the 9.2 setup file under D:\LaunchBox\Updates.
  20. Okay, thanks. What version of LaunchBox did you upgrade from?
  21. Hi lopez, what does the .NET Runtime error show that's beneath that selected line in the screenshot? Also, what version of LaunchBox did you upgrade from?
  22. Ah, yes. It spins the wheel in Big Box while the button is held. That's already implemented. Is that what you're referring to @RULLUR?
  23. Can you explain your specific monitor configuration? Screenshot me this screen if you can: Also, I need to know the resolution and DPI scaling setting for each monitor. I tested this like crazy in what I thought was every possible configuration before the 9.2 release and thought I fixed all the issues. It could just be differing video card drivers though. Are you running AMD or nVidia?
  24. What poll are you referring to? I don't think a random game button was on the last poll: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-V9D22LCH8/ We can certainly put it on the next one though.
