  1. It's almost guaranteed that a startup theme similar to this will be out shortly, so I think it'll be a non-issue. Try playing with the the emulator settings for PCSX2 in LaunchBox, under the Game Startup tab. You can also check to see if there are fullscreen settings available for PCSX2. It's best to use your desktop's native resolution, and use fullscreen exclusive mode if available.
  2. Thank you Kondorito; I have this integrated for the next beta (beta 9). Should be out shortly.
  3. It's a simple XAML file change, and it's commented fairly obviously in the XAML. Look for the spinning disc animations.
  4. The theme is not 2.3GB. It's still 282MB. 2.3GB is the combined size of all the versions.
  5. Unfortunately my guess would be that this is somehow a system-specific error with MAME. Does it happen if you disable the startup screens? If it does, I would suggest that you report it to the MAME development team.
  6. Beta 8 is out now with a fix for the aforementioned Dolphin Big Box issue.
  7. Ah, I see what's happening here. It seems to be specific to Big Box and Dolphin somehow. I'll dive into it.
  8. If nothing is selected there, that's the problem. Just make sure you check fanart - background.
  9. Check your background priorities settings in the LaunchBox options.
  10. Thank you Claudio; I have this in for the next beta (beta 8). I just put out beta 7 so it should come out in tomorrow's beta.
  11. Beta 7 is out now with a couple of improvements for the startup screens: Demul (and possibly some other emulators) should now work properly with shutdown screens Steam now works properly for the majority of games with both the startup and shutdown screens
  12. The Big Box background fade setting is currently used in the startup screens, regardless of whether you're running it from LaunchBox or Big Box. We might change that though because I know it's confusing.
  13. Thank you guys. @Opak I have the German translation in for the next beta (should be out shortly).
  14. We might be able to add this in at some point, but unfortunately it won't make the next release. I thought about that during development, but I think the use case of it is just too rare to focus on it for the time being. Check your Big Box Background Fade setting; it might be set to 100%.
  15. I'm sorry. I really don't know what's going on here. It's sounds like you've been to hell and back, but something still isn't right. Hopefully you can get some other help on here, but I have to step out and get back to development.
  16. Unfortunately we're probably not going to be able to help further with this. I'm not sure what's all related, or if you're running a broken version of Windows 10, but it sounds like that might be the case. You might just have to reinstall Windows from scratch if that's the problem (but I can't really confirm much of anything without being there).
  17. Unfortunately, we can't really help with that.
  18. Yeah, I remember that. If that's happening, then pretty much the only reason why it would happen (assuming you aren't getting any errors within the installer) is that you have an anti-virus program installed that is causing problems. Try exiting out of all antivirus programs first. Other than the antivirus issues, we've never seen an issue like that once in the three years we've been using that installer, so I'm nearly 100% confident that it's not a bug with LaunchBox or the installer.
  19. Hi Keith, looking at that folder, you're missing the LaunchBox and Big Box startup files. So you'll need to run the installer and make sure you install exactly to that "LaunchBox (Not In Kodi)" folder. You may have to type it in, because the installer always appends "LaunchBox" to the end of any folder you browse to.
  20. Yes, the License.xml file should not be shared with anyone. That is fairly typical for computers and applications. There are many files on your hard drive that shouldn't be shared with other people for privacy reasons. Is there a reason why it's a concern for you?
  21. Thank you @Thanatos_Prime. All good suggestions, and noted.
  22. @Rifter22 Unfortunately it sounds like something happened to corrupt lots of the LaunchBox data files on your machine. It's probably worth running chkdsk to make sure that you don't have any file system or hard drive issues. Otherwise, I don't know why else that would happen really. If your file system or hard drive is getting corrupted, then it's possible that the backups are corrupted as well. First things first, go ahead and run chkdsk to see if it finds any errors. https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/fix-hard-drives-chkdsk-windows-10/
  23. I have seen that before on slower systems, but yes, it should always repaint and work properly after a few seconds at most. I haven't seen it in quite a while though, so I'm not sure if a video driver update fixed it a while back or if it's maybe just a performance issue. Regardless, it's a Windows/.NET rendering issue, so unfortunately there's probably not a lot I'm going to be able to do to fix it.
  24. Not quite sure what could be causing that slowdown, but the first thing to try is to see if it's media-related. You can make a copy of your LaunchBox install without games and media, and see if it's quick that way.
  25. Unfortunately no; that's a completely separate thing.
