  1. Good to know; I think I found the issue and it should be fixed (hopefully) for the next beta. If you run an update on metadata and choose not to overwrite anything, the wizard will add any new images that aren't in your collection. It never, ever deletes images. But depending on your priorities, it may show a different image than it did before if it thinks there's a better option, or if you have multiple options that it thinks are good. If you're overriding a game's metadata though, and you're happy with it, it may be best not to run a metadata update on it, because the whole point of metadata updates are to update the data with what's on the server. I did add a fix a while back to stop titles from being changed though.
  2. Hi Axenn, both LaunchBox and Big Box are now using WPF, so either WPF or WinForms should work fine.
  3. I looked into the code and unfortunately it's what I suspected: the controller code is exactly the same now as it was in beta 5. So I'm lost on that. It's possible that it's being caused by something else we added though, so maybe it's worth testing with the keyboard to see if you have the same issue. I do plan to work on performance specifically when loading up platforms from the platform category list, but I doubt that's what you're running into @Rjay.
  4. Thank you Claudio; I have it integrated for the next beta.
  5. Love it @harryoke.
  6. @RetroHumanoid I'm updating the Unified Redux theme with those fanart backgrounds you posted; it's looking awesome.
  7. No problem Claudio, just thought I'd let you know. Thank you very much!
  8. Also, I should note that the latest beta 8.6-beta-10 allows you to prioritize everyone's videos as well.
  9. Alright, I have all of the platform/category/playlist videos from @RetroHumanoid, @Padou, @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT, and @dragon57 all uploaded to the server for download in LaunchBox. That was a lot of videos! Here's the video coverage that we have currently: 2-Player Games - RetroHumanoid 4-Player Games - RetroHumanoid Ball & Paddle Games - None Beat Em Ups - RetroHumanoid Board & Card Games - RetroHumanoid Fighting Games - RetroHumanoid, PaDeMoniuM, CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT Flying Games - RetroHumanoid Light Gun Games - RetroHumanoid, Viking Maze Games - None MultiGames - None Pinball Arcade - RetroHumanoid Platform Games - RetroHumanoid Puzzle Games - RetroHumanoid Racing Games - RetroHumanoid Rhythm Games - RetroHumanoid Run & Gun Games - RetroHumanoid Shoot Em Ups - RetroHumanoid, PaDeMoniuM Shooter Games - RetroHumanoid Sports Games - RetroHumanoid
  10. Beta 10 is out now with the following: - New default playlist clear logo images for all of the new MAME/Arcade genre and player playlists thanks to @RetroHumanoid - Notes are now added to the publisher-based playlists (I forgot to put them back in when I changed them to be auto-populating playlists) - A ton of new platform/category/playlist videos are now available in the video downloader from @RetroHumanoid, @Padou, @dragon57, and @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT. Huge thanks to all these guys for all the amazing videos. - Translation updates thanks to @Kondorito, @Bardock, @Cauptain, and @Opak
  11. Thanks all, I have all these translation updates in the beta that is going up right now. @Cauptain I did notice that there have been some further changes since your last translation package.
  12. I should have made that more clear.
  13. Very cool @RetroHumanoid. Honestly we need a way of automatically downloading platform and playlist images. Currently the only thing we have is what's included with the LaunchBox download, and of course I have to keep that small so we only include banners and clear logos. So fanart will have to remain as a download on the forums for now.
  14. Those indeed would be handy, but they probably won't make it in as automatically-created playlists. We need a way to use the MAME data to filter them, and I don't immediately know how that would be done for those two categories.
  15. I'm currently going through @Padou's theme videos here on the forums and I'm finding some amazing vids, including some great vids that will match up with some of the new playlists perfectly. Can't wait to get these uploaded.
  16. Looking awesome my friend. The only thing I'd say is that it's probably best not to start with the LaunchBox logo, since people move through platforms quickly and want to see gameplay or relevant playlist info early on in the vid.
  17. Killer. Thank you Retro. Thankfully there's no reason to tie the videos in with the 8.6 release, since we can upload them to show up in the video downloader at any time. I'm glad we have the clear logos done though, because they do tie in with the release and I'm hoping to release the official 8.6 version here in the next few days.
  18. I have all the clear logos integrated into LaunchBox as defaults for the next beta. Anyone who wants to can feel free to create additional ones as they're not set in stone, but I think RetroHumanoid has done an absolutely amazing job on them. The next goal of course is to get some theme videos created for "Ball & Paddle Games", "Maze Games", and "MultiGames", and then some additional video options for the existing ones as well if anyone is interested. Thank you all once again.
  19. Awesome! Thank you Harry. Looking forward to it.
  20. Woot! Thank you Retro!
  21. Those look awesome Zom. Your sets are definitely a favorite of the community so it'd be great to get them updated with the new playlists for sure.
  22. Also amazing! We now have a full set of clear logos thanks to amazing work of @RetroHumanoid; thank you sir. They look awesome in Big Box; the only thing I'd say isn't 100% perfect is the fact that some of the darker logos kind of fade into the background at times, most notably the Racing Games, Run & Gun Games, and Fighting Games logos. For instance: Regardless, they do look amazing and I certainly wouldn't be heartbroken to include them in LaunchBox as-is. Just wanted to mention it in case Retro or anyone else wanted to step up to create brighter versions. As always, I can't thank you guys enough.
  23. That looks amazing @RetroHumanoid. ❤️
  24. Woah! Amazing work y'all!
  25. Hi Dirk, as long as it is a real Visa or Mastercard, and it allows transactions from the US, it should work fine. That's not a guarantee but it should work. The biggest problem we run into with foreign credit cards is that they often disallow US transactions. But usually, if you call up the credit card company, they can enable the transaction.
