  1. Hi @refreshTM, I'll respond to you via PM. We'll continue to change license names for YouTubers going forward. Hiding it defies the whole purpose of showing it there, so that we won't be doing. All we ask for is a link to the YouTube channel so we can confirm that it's legit.
  2. Thanks @SpaceMidget75, I think I finally have the side bar sorting glitched fixed in the latest beta that I just put out: @Pacman56, I'm in agreement about the not checking to make sure the file exists thing for MAME. I thought about that recently and added it to my shortlist, so that is planned.
  3. Beta 12 is out now as well guys:
  4. Beta 12 is out now guys; we added adding games to *new* playlists in Big Box in the live stream this morning, as well as fixed the titles not updating properly bug in LaunchBox when changing the Arrange By types. Let me know if anyone is seeing any unexpected prefixes in the game titles going forward. Also, more importantly, I'm pretty sure I've *finally* fixed the dreaded sidebar sorting bug. It turns out that it was only happening with the actually released versions, and not in debug versions at all, which made it really hard to track. I'm still blaming a .NET bug because it shouldn't have been happening, but I think I've forced a fix for it. Let me know if anyone is still seeing any sorting issues with the sidebar.
  5. Sorry for the short outages yesterday guys. It's been a major challenge to keep up with all the extra traffic, but it sure is good for us.
  6. Yes, on a platform-by-platform basis, using Tools > Manage Platforms. Are you keeping everything inside the LaunchBox folder?
  7. Thanks @Napalm2016, I'll take a look.
  8. Nothing will be overwritten with this process. That said, yeah, we may not want to create a playlist if a platform exists with that same name; I'll look into that.
  9. Yeah, that won't do much of anything lol.
  10. The playlists cover every single possible game, and it's almost never expected for a collection to have every version of every MAME game, so missing games in the automatically added playlists is normal. For example, you probably only have one version of Pac-Man in your arcade collection, but all versions would be in the playlists. That said, I will be looking into the MAME platform name issue.
  11. It should be locating them anyways, but perhaps not. I'll take a look at this.
  12. To delete a playlist, select Playlists from the dropdown at the top of the left sidebar. Then right click on a playlist and Delete. I'd like to get this added to platforms and platform categories as well to make it easier to edit them from the sidebar.
  13. Ah, good points. Thanks @prolecat. I can probably at least add move to top and move to bottom buttons to the playlist editor before release, but probably won't get all of this in. Still it would be nice to add all of this in eventually; if anyone wants to put in Bitbucket tickets for them, that'd be appreciated.
  14. This will be coming soon, hopefully in 7.9. Planning on tackling both nested filters and platform categories in Big Box for 7.9.
  15. I expect the Rocket Launcher plugin code will need to be tweaked to support it. I need to get in touch with the Rocket Launcher guys about this and additional applications.
  16. Before the official release we're going to include clear logo images for all the automatically-created playlists, just like we do for platforms. But yes, the current location is LaunchBox\Images\Playlists and the structure behaves just like platforms (though admittedly I don't like the structure and I'm tempted to change it, though that would be a royal pain).
  17. Hey guys, this can happen sometimes if you have an incompatible controller connected, or a controller is going haywire, the stick is accidentally held down by something, etc. So it's caused by some sort of stray additional controller connected.
  18. Hi @Neofuuma, ugh, that doesn't sound good at all, sorry to hear. The next step would be to examine your data XML files to see if all the versions are still there under Additional Apps. If you can zip up and post your LaunchBox\Data folder here, I can check it out. It's possible that that Lightspeed somehow messed up the additional apps, but I certainly hope not; I would have though we'd have received a lot more reports if that were the case. Still, let's examine your data files.
  19. @fromlostdays I don't have any experience with EaseUS Data Recovery, but I do have some experience with undelete-type applications. While they can be great, corrupted files are fairly typical with them. That said, assuming *nothing* has been written to the drive since the format, in theory it should be possible to recover all of the data on the drive, without corruption. Formatting a drive typically doesn't overwrite any data, it just rebuilds the file system and such (or at least that's the way it used to be). So anyways, if nothing at all has been written to the drive since, the right tool should hopefully, in theory, be able to recover everything. But truthfully I haven't visited this subject since the FAT16 file system days, so take my advice on this subject with a grain of salt lol. Per #2, backups are extremely, extremely important, as you no doubt know by now. If you're willing to spend a little cash and have a decent unmetered Internet connection, I highly recommend Crashplan because it will back up an unlimited amount of data to the cloud for a low monthly (or yearly) fee. I've used them for many years and I've literally restored terabytes and terabytes of data from them with no issues. The best part about this approach is that it's a set it and forget it solution. The worst part is the fact that it has to transfer all of your data when you first start using it, which obviously takes a while. Crashplan can also be used to sync drives and such though as well. Lastly, drives won't typically show up in the Windows file manager unless they're formatted with a file system that Windows understands, so I don't think that's a sign of a failing drive.
  20. You can just download the latest official version from the website and install over top of your existing install.
  21. Sorry for that @archimage; I just fixed this. If you update once more the problem should be solved. We've been scrambling to move some things around to be able to handle the massive amounts of traffic we've been getting today.
  22. Thanks guys. It's been quite a day because we were featured on Gameranx: I've been rushing to move things around to make room for all the new bandwidth.
  23. Yeah, as much as I wish this was a simple problem like "it stops downloading images once it finds a game with no images", or something like that, it can't be that simple, unless I'm missing something. Does this only happen on download metadata and images? Or does it happen on imports as well? I'm still not fully following and haven't been able to replicate, so I expect I'll need as many details as possible in order to fix it.
  24. Hi @Mermsky, I've wanted to add this for quite a while now, but it hasn't gotten prioritized. Still, thanks for the reminder. I'll probably add it to the next community poll.
