Purchased Launchbox Premium but gut no Email

Hi @Zenesis, unfortunately the cost of Bitcoins is constantly changing; that's the reason I've been given in the past for this scenario. My apologies for the trouble. My understanding of what happens is that by the time the transaction finishes, the total amount is less and so Stripe does not proceed with the transaction. Unfortunately I have no way of getting at that money in this scenario. I believe you can get past it though by making sure you have slightly extra to account for changing conversion rates. -
troubleshooting Auto populating playlist issue.
Jason Carr replied to BlueDragon992's topic in Beta Testing
Thanks @BlueDragon992; I've addressed this with the latest beta. When adding two separate lines for the same field an "OR" is always used instead of an "AND". This is to support searching for games with several different values. I've now added an explicit "Is Between" option for dates and numeric values. -
Thanks guys, yes, I am aware of this issue, and it's still on my list to look into. Hoping to get to it before the 7.8 release.

Ah, that's right, thanks. Hopefully I can take a look at it soon.

Yes, I know that it was caused by the platform categories integration; we restructured the sidebar to support nesting, and somehow in there the bug was introduced. It's just incredibly odd that it's system-specific. It's interesting to know that it's being caused by certain platforms, though. Hmm.

This may be an issue specifically with the consolidate games feature, and it's probably in the official release as well, I'm guessing. I don't recall specifically handling multi-disc scenarios for the consolidating, so that makes sense. Also, consolidate was not meant to be used to consolidate discs; it was built to consolidate versions with the assumption that discs would already be consolidated, so I'm guessing that's what's going on. Still worth looking into though; it's on my list.

Beta 8 is here guys:
-
Thanks @ALIE; remind me what doesn't work on mobile? My Android phone seems to be working fine.

Alright, beta 8 is out. I've fixed a number of minor bugs and performance issues with the playlists, as well as added support for custom fields in auto-playlist filters. Custom fields in auto-playlists is something that could really use testing, so if that is something you're interested in, please test with it as much as you can. Finally, I added a number of new comparison types to help with certain situations: - Has All Values (for multi-item fields like Developer, Publisher, and Genre) - Has None of the Values (same, for multi-item fields) - Has At Least One Of (same, for multi-item fields) - Is Between (for dates and numeric fields) These new types should help handle "AND" query situations since otherwise, an "OR" is used between multiple entries for the same fields. If none of this makes sense to you, then don't worry about it, as these are more advanced querying features for the automatic playlists. How to use them should be fairly obvious due to the default values that show up when selecting the types. That said, all of the previous options are still available (and are also the defaults) in order to keep things as easy to use out of the box as possible. Going forward, for playlists, here are the items that are still on the to-do list for 7.8: - Hotkeys for switching between various views in Big Box (specifically needed for platforms and playlists) - Adding games to playlists from within Big Box - A new tab in the playlist add/edit window to display the games in a grid for custom sorting - Custom ordering for playlist items (needed?), currently uses the same ordering as everything else - Auto-populating of certain playlists on imports (such as Capcom Classics, Namco Classics, etc. for the Arcade platform) - Download platform videos support for playlists Again, these are not promises for 7.8 (we may not get all items in), but that's the plan. Thanks all!

Well, they'll support pretty much anything we have metadata for. That said, I'm not sure if the metadata we have available would truly support this. It might come close with some trickery, but I don't think it would be highly accurate. That said, if you had a custom field for region exclusive, then playlists will support it.
-
Hmm, I'll take a look at this.
-
Ah, it should not be possible to remove a game from an auto-generated playlist; I'll fix that with an error message. At least for 7.8, I do not have plans to add an exclusion list.
-
Wheel images for playlists go under the LaunchBox\Images\Playlists folder and not the Platforms folder. It should automatically be created, and you can tweak the images in LaunchBox using Tools > Manage Playlists.
-
Per contains, you just need to use Equals instead of Contains for an exact match. Per deleting games from playlists, it should, in theory, be prompting you and making it obvious what the game is being deleted from. We may have a had a glitch in previous betas where that popup wasn't showing. Are you getting a message to come up when you delete a game from a playlist? If not, it sounds like we have a glitch on this stuff. But the popup makes it obvious, so I don't plan to have a specific playlist audit feature.
-
Yeah, @damageinc86, we can't put out tutorials before the official releases. We've done that before and that causes some mass confusion lol. We will have a tutorial out on the playlists after 7.8 comes out.
-
Sure, we can come back to this shortly after we get the arcade playlists stuff implemented, as we'll need to clean up the platforms lists. There's also an annoying amount of confusion/arguments/moderation rejections going on because of disagreements over which platforms should or should not exist, so hopefully we can address this stuff in a live stream after the 7.8 release.
-
Added this to the to-do list for 7.8 since this does seem to be a common request. Thanks for the additional testing, @Norfair. Unfortunately testing those things on my system still does not reproduce the out of order platforms or categories. At this point, I'm pretty certain that it's happening only on certain machines, because I've tested other collections that cause the problem for other people, and when I load them up on my machines everything is fine. So there's something wacky going on that I haven't been able to pinpoint. It may have something to do with metadata, but that's not the *only* thing it has to do with since it seems isolated to only certain machines. So...sigh. I'm still stuck.

Sorry guys, yes, I will take a look at this soon. -
Thank you Claudio; that is something we may consider in the future, but as for now we've chosen to keep all of Big Box part of the premium version.

Beta 7 is out now guys; the new thread is here: Closing this one out.
